The Society is run by a dedicated band of members who are elected annually. In addition, ordinary members volunteer to help at the shop on a rota basis – help is always needed and appreciated.
Don't forget it's our Bulb Sale at the end of this month on Saturday 31st August and 1st September.
We think this year we have a really lovely selection of bulbs for you to choose. We know some will be with us very soon.
EDIT: We won't just have flower bulbs - we'll have autumn planting Onions, Shallots and Garlic too. 🧅🧄🪻🌷

We've been finally able to get hold of some copper tape to help deter slugs away from your pots. It's 4mtrs long and priced at £4.20.
The Dutch Trowel,displayed with our other hand tools, is priced at £15.00. We've been waiting for these for a long time!

We found these hiding on a shelf in our store 🤭 and thought they'd be handy to store things in!🤦♀️🤷♀️ (you don't say)!!
They only measure approx 30cm x 50cm so not too massive, and they only cost 50p each. There's one on display by the hand tools, so if you'd like one, two or a few, just ask our lovely counter staff.

After a long wait, we have the Early Bird Chicken pellets back in stock from the new supplier.
The bags weigh in at 15kgs as before, and will cost 95p per kilo and £11.95 for a full bag. You need to be a member to purchase, but it's still ONLY £5 for the year (Jan- Dec).

Worth Horticultural Society are holding their Summer Show on 14th July 2024 in The Dunlop Hall, The Ark, Turners Hill.
As you can imagine, these shows take time to administer and set up so if you can, do pop in and show them some support, have a cuppa and buy some raffle tickets.
We've found 2 events for your diary. We've shared these because we know lots of our members love Roses and Fuchsias.
The Rose Festival is at Squires Garden Centre in Shepperton. Details are in the photos. The first one is this weekend, and is the Rose Festival Weekend. The 2nd event is The Regional Fuchsia Show on 27th July - this event is at Squires Wokingham.

This strimmer has been donated to us to re-sell for either McMillan Cancer Care or St Catherine's Hospice. Please ask the staff in our shop to see it as its in our store area. (Please note all electrical items are given to us in good faith that they are in working order).

We have been approached by Ewhurst Sports and Social Club with regards to a return coach trip to Hastings on 29th June 2024.

Felines 1st are set up and open for business in our hall. They're here today until 2.00p.m. Why not pop in and give your support and say hello to the cats who need a loving home.
Our Bonsai Group have put on a fabulous display at our Summer Show and are here to give advice if you have your own Bonsai.
Our raffle prizes are ready and waiting to be won too!
Our Summer Show is in full swing with some beautiful floral exhibits, domestic, fruit & vegetables, alpines and stunning display by our Bonsai Group. (Photos displayed in the post above).
Only half an hour left to enter your your flowers, Fruit and veg into the show. If you need to add an item you can ring me up to 11a.m tomorrow morning.
One of our lovely regular hall hirers Zumba With Claire, is raising money for Cancer Research by holding a Zumbathon in our hall on September 14th between 10.00 a.m and 12.00 midday.
If you already do Zumba or fancy having a go check out Claires page for more details - after all, it's for a great charity.
Felines 1st are holding a Cat Re-homing Show in our hall on Sunday 23rd June 2024 from 11.00a.m to 14.00p.m.
There will be a selection of cats in attendance plus cat related items for sale.

Don't forget Carol Goubler will be at our Members Fuchsia group meeting Monday 17th June giving a talk about them and selling some plants too. You can join as a member on the night (please pay by cash).
For all our members who are waiting for our delivery of Sinclair Compost, our new delivery is due on Monday and will be available to purchase online or in person in our shop from Wednesday.
Don't forget, we're open tonight from 6.30p.m until 8.00p.m for your mid week gardening needs. Our last Wednesday opening will be on 26th June 2024.
We also have lots of 'bits and bobs' in our shop, which would make ideal Father's Day presents for the Dad who loves his garden.

Well we're hoping that this spot of rain will help boost your flower, fruit and vegetable production to be ready for our Summer Show on 22nd June 2024.
If you've never entered before, why not come along on the day to see what's involved and have a cuppa. Where else can you get a cuppa and a piece of cake for £2.00!

This Monday, (10th) for our members, is our Fruit & Vegetable Group. If you're a new member to CHS and love growing fruit & veg why not pop into our hall from 7.30p.m and chat to other like minded growers, share tips and plants too.
On the following Monday, (17th June) our Fuchsia, Alpine and Pelagonium Group meet and there will be a talk about fuschias again with fuchsia plants for sale.
We have some of our popular pots back in stock and we have two sizes of Orchid pots 16cm & 11cm which are new to us.
The houseplant compost is from a different supplier and is a larger bag at 10ltrs and priced at £6.40.
