Including being obese as a teenager, starving myself to the verge of anorexia for MMA and then suffering from binge eating for a large chunk of my adult life đâŁ

However, tracking your calories, macros, and weighing your food is đąđŽđđŽ đłđźđż đđźđ đđź đđđ˛, empowering you to make informed choices about your nutritionâŁ

My Journey from Depression to True HealthâŁ

For those unaware, I once devoted my life to bodybuilding and the pursuit of a stage-ready physique đŞâŁ
âŁ
I was obsessed with âproving myselfâ to others, willing to sacrifice anything for a moment of satisfaction in the mirror.âŁ
âŁ
However, my body had different plans, battling with chronic health challenges, such as:âŁ
âŁ
Mould exposure/poisoning đ§âŁ
MCAS / extreme histamine sensitivity issues đĽľâŁ
Constant reactions to foods đâŁ
Bacterial overgrowths đŚ âŁ
Chronic anxiety đĽ âŁ
H.Pylori and stomach ulcers đĽâŁ

I even collapsed from stomach pains caused by undiagnosed ulcers during a dieting phase đ¤âŁ

Thankfully, I never accepted my ânormalâ issues labelled by doctors and it led me to a previous mentor who uncovered what many had missed: a huge level of mycotoxins.âŁ

After an extensive protocol, I finally achieved the physique Iâd been chasing for over a decade.âŁ

Yet, after the photoshoot, the buzz wore off and I quickly realised: I had not addressed my deeper issues.âŁ

A few weeks later, everything spiralled into a dark place where I came very close to ending my own life đâŁ

Several factors can contribute to this, such as changes in eating habits, routines, or the menstrual cycle for females.âŁ

However, the most common culprit I see with my clients for these erratic fluctuations is đąđśđ´đ˛đđđśđđ˛ đśđđđđ˛đ âźď¸.âŁ

If certain foods trigger a negative response, it can lead to an increased immune response, inflammation, and that âpuffyâ or âswollenâ appearance is often mistaken for stubborn body fat.âŁ

This response can also bring along symptoms like fatigue, joint pain, and bloating. đâŁ

So, donât be fooled into thinking the scales donât matter. They absolutely do when it comes to tracking physical changes.âŁ

If the scales arenât moving in the right direction, log the information and make informed choices moving forward.âŁ

As many of you know, I used to also suffer from constant digestive issues, histamine flare ups and much moreâŚâŁ

Which led to December actually becoming an anxiety driven month for me (check my top post to read my own personal battle with chronic issues đ).

On one hand I wanted to enjoy time with friends and familyâŚâŁ

But on the other hand, I also didnât want to suffer the consequences with chronic symptoms flaring up, embarrassing digestive triggers happening when not at home and of course feeling âpuffyâ and swollen for days after.âŁ
