Red Rock Electrical Ltd
Commercial, Industrial and Retail Electrical Installation Contractors.
We offer Design, Project Management, Installation and Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations.
With great sadness we must announce the devastating news that our dear friend and colleague Rachael Wilson tragically passed away over the weekend. Rachael had been with us for seven years and was a massive part of the red rock family. She will be dearly missed by us and, we are sure, many of you. All of our thoughts at this time are with her husband Sean, her family and friends
We had a blast. Thanks Nevada Construction Ltd

It's National Apprenticeship Week!
This week marks an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of apprentices and the positive impact they make to businesses. With that in mind, meet three of our Red Rock Electrical apprentices below, who are studying with The Focus Training Group.
"My favourite part about the electrical apprenticeship is the hands-on experience, problem-solving opportunities and the continuous learning that comes with applying new skills. It's a dynamic journey that keeps me engaged. I also enjoy the social aspect of being on site with like-minded people." - Alfie Way, 3rd year apprentice!
"I am gaining confidence week in week out, enabling me to carry out tasks on my own." - Conor Saunders, currently awaiting AM2 results!
"I enjoy meeting new, like-minded people wanting to expand knowledge in their current jobs." - Marcus Coulson, 2nd year apprentice!

WINTER VAN MAINTENANCE βοΈπ¨οΈ
As winter and the colder months are approaching it is important that we take as many precautions as possible to ensure our vans are functioning efficiently to keep safe on the roads.
It is extra important in icy and wet conditions that vehicle checks are carried out throughly to ensure your vehicles (especially tyres) are fit to drive.
The RAC recommends using the acronym βFORCEβ to remember the simple winter checks
F- Fuel, vehicles use more fuel in heavy traffic and start/stop conditions which can be regular occurrences, especially in wintry weather. It is a good idea to fill up before setting off
O- Oil, check your oil level using the dipstick and top up if necessary
R-Rubber, check your tyre tread depth and air pressure. Well maintained tyres are vital to give you traction and grip on icy, wet surfaces. Checking wiper blades regularly as these can be affected by rain, snow, ice and road salts
C- Coolant, a mixture of warm and antifreeze, coolant is pumped around your engine to cool it.
E- Electrics, check your lights and indicators are working efficiently. Battery problems are the reason for more RAC call outs than anything else
Keep safe through the winter months βοΈπ¨οΈ

WORKING IN THE HEAT βοΈπ‘
As lovely as the current heatwaves have recently been, it is also important that we stay safe and take extra precautions whilst working in the sun. The below are a few guidance steps you can take to avoid heatstroke and sunstroke...
1) keep a bottle of water to hand and stay hydrated at all times
2) Avoid any dehydrating liquids such as tea, coffee and other caffienated drinks.
3) keep reapplying SPF through out the day to sun exposed areas.
4) The bodies main cooling points are the wrists and ankles, you can run these under cold water to cool the body down quickly.
5) Reduce sun exposure and stay in the shade whenever possible.
The HSE has produced a leaflet containing guidance for outdoor workers working in hot conditions, which you can find on the link below.
