You may have noticed that Neighbourfood is no more and that we are now Derby Farmers Market. The main change is the website you use to place your orders, but mostly we remain the same-local producers offering local produce.

With December just around the corner 😱we’ve got plenty of Christmas meats and hampers available for pre-order, aswell as other festive produce including mince pies, candle rolling kits, wreaths and cider gift boxes. We’ve got Christmas sorted!

We’re on the move!

Due to increasing costs the venue hire at the church has understandably increased, which has forced us to look at alternative options for a venue to host our weekly market collection and we will be moving to The Creaky Floorboard micropub at 179 Kedleston Road - so we are not moving far away!

The collection day and times will remain the same as it is currently (Tuesday 5-6pm), we will just be at a different venue. This change will take effect from Tuesday 25th October.

The Creaky Floorboard are looking forward to hosting us and I'm pleased that we'll be supporting another local business with our weekly collection. It will also be great to be in a social environment which will help increase our visibility within the local community and offers the opportunity to enjoy an occasional drink together, should you care to stay :)

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Many of you walk and cycle to collect your produce but for those of you who drive there is some parking outside The Creaky Floorboard directly in front of the pub, but this is limited. Alternative options are just around the corner by Brook Medical Centre/The Jonty Farmer pub, or on Kedleston road itself - you'll only be a couple of minutes walk away with any of these options.

A couple of you bring children along to collect your order but the pub does not have a licence for children to be on the premises, so if this effects you I can bring your order out to you - just let me know or note it on your order that week.

As Spring approaches (the season of Spring officially starts on Sunday 🥳) so does hay fever season. If you suffer with hay fever why not try a couple of teaspoons of honey first thing in the morning as it desensitises you to pollen, which helps alleviate symptoms.

A selection of salad pots, to grow on, are now available from our wonderful veg producer. Perfect for those fresh spring salads. Choose from ruby streaks, mizuna and mustard golden streaks.

Our market collection is perfectly timed with Shrove Tuesday so make sure you stock up on eggs and milk from us to make the perfect pancakes.
