Derby Child Contact Centre

Derby Child Contact Centre is an independent charity providing a safe place for non-resident parents (or grandparents) to meet up with their children.

Working with Families to put Children First

Derby Child Contact Centre is an independent charity and one of the largest entirely voluntary supported contact centres in the country. We provide a safe environment where non-resident parents (or grandparents) and their children can meet, play and interact together in a non threatening atmosphere. We’re sorry to announce that Derby Child Contact Centre will not be opening for at least the next three weekends.

The Centre relies wholly on volunteers to assist our families with supported contact. At this time we do not have the consistent levels of DBS-cleared staff to meet the National Association of Child Contact Centre (NACCC) guidelines for safe operating of our facility.

The Trustees are meeting to discuss how the charity can recruit volunteers and form a management group to take the Centre forward.

We understand how our families rely on the Centre and appreciate how this will be felt within our community.

Please assist us by allowing us the time and space to re-establish a structure that will allow for supported contact to continue at a sustainable rate.

We are particularly interested in recruiting new volunteers that can join our team. Please forward this mail to friends or colleagues that you believe could make a positive difference to our resident families.

Thank you for your understanding during this difficult period.

A huge thank you to those that donate their time and skills to give our familes the support they deserve, you are all amazing and we couldn't do it without you! πŸ₯³β–«οΈ

Everyone is feeling the strain at the moment with prices all around us increasing, unfortunatley we are not immune to this. As a result we have had no choice other than to increase our prices. Starting Saturday 8th April the cost per session will rise to Β£10. If this will cause significant difficulty for you please do not hesitate to reach out. We are here to support all our families as we truely believe that cost should never be a barrier to a child seeing their family.
