However, his father is more interested in an opportunity to sue the medical authorities and get rich. The truth slowly unravels leaving at least three lives in tatters. Doncaster’s Celebration of City Status

Doncaster became Yorkshire’s newest city in 2022, winning a contest held to mark Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee. Join us for a fun evening of light-hearted chat and discussion, retelling the story of this historic campaign, and celebrating everything about Doncaster.

It will be heady a mix of history, heritage, and culture, recognising some of Doncaster’s greatest moments, as well as many lesser-known achievements. Where else would The Flying Scotsman, Paddington Bear, Ivanhoe, and Open all Hours feature on the same billing?

The evening is hosted by Jim Carley, author of “The Race for City Status: How Doncaster became one of Britain’s Newest Cities”. Our guest panel includes Dan Fell, Chief Executive of Doncaster Chamber and Chair of the City Status campaign; Lindsy James, Director of local charity Active Fusion and a World Duathlon Champion; and Chloe Wilburn, local businesswoman and winner of TV’s Big Brother in 2015.

Tickets are as cheap as chips at just £5.00 each, and 100% of all ticket sales will go to the Doncaster Little Theatre charity. The event run time is approximately 90 minutes.

An Evening Of Swearing And Shouting with Gavin Webster

Gavin Webster, a stand up comedian of over 30 years is on tour to share his jokes, routines and set pieces, his one liners, dark observations, sardonic ukulele comedy songs and verbal crash bang wallops. He’s done gigs over the last three decades literally all round the world. He’s done dozens of radio programmes, television stand up showcases, panel shows, he’s even starred in films that have won international awards as well as international comedy festivals.

It has involved swearing though, lots of it and shouting as well, it wouldn’t be Gavin Webster without lots of swearing and shouting. Expect to be entertained with swears and shouts.
