Kids touch rugby starting 13th June!

We are going to start running our kids touch rugby sessions for anybody in groups U10! The session will run from 6pm - 7pm every Tuesday for 6 weeks at Christchurch Rec🏉.

Those running the sessions are DBS cleared and safeguarding trained, so youngsters are more than welcome to come along too!

The sessions are great fun and a good workout for men, women and children. We will also have beginners training to the side, to bring new players up to speed on the rules and style of play.

Our youngest group played a game of tag followed by practicing their kicking skills whilst our oldest group played a game of touch.

Whether your little ones have never played rugby before and want to try it out or want to turn it into a consistent hobby, we are the ones for you!

We take from Reception age all the way through to Year 7, with dedicated coaches at each level, we are guaranteed to help them progress through their time with us🙌🏼

On top of safe and secure facilities, commited coaches and a fun environment, it is completely FREE OF CHARGE!

Our last youth and minis session consisted of a game of parents vs kids kick rounders followed by hot chocolate and presents🎁

A massive thank you to everyone for their continued support and a massive well done to all the kids, you’ve all been amazing this year!

What a great session yesterday morning!

Our older group really enjoyed learning how to ruck over someone and they were practicing their handling skills🙌🏼

Our younger group played a game of tag ending with them chasing coach Jake around trying to get as mant tags off him as they could!

Our last session will be Sunday 18th December before we break up for Christmas🎄

They really enjoyed learning how to safely tackle somebody and all the correct techniques🙌🏼

Please note, U10s and above do need to bring gum shields with them to all training sessions!

Great work by Rippa Rugby in spreading the love of the game in the area. A number of the parents in our youth programme have children who enjoyed the Rippa Rugby sessions and are now exploring club rugby.

We're fortunate to have so many clubs in the area offering youth and mini rugby!
