This week I've been working in Switzerland teaching the skill of creating impactful training content, how to deliver a training session and how facilitation can excel the learning experience. With 18 years of experience in this space, I had plenty of hints and tips to share.

After 25 years, I was so happy to be back in this beautiful country, and staying in a new city to me, Basel.

Working with a great bunch of people, in a suburb and inspiring venue (thanks to Memox.World), travelling and doing what I love – I’m feeling truly blessed.

Yes, a need to keep learning, to want to grow and better ourselves. Also, to have the agile mindset that allows us to grow and adapt in this changing and challenging world!

🎉 Huge congratulations to the MuchBetter virtual cohort that embarked on their Grade 3 Leadership Accreditation in October 2022 and completed in July 2023. 🎉

🌍 Bringing a virtual group together from the Isle of Man, Malta, UK and Costa Rica was both exciting and challenging with the time zones 🕐 🕑 🕖 – we made it work though. 🤩

🎧 This virtual programme consisted of 4 Modules, 14 sessions and a massive 57 learning outcomes. Their hard work and commitment to their personal development and leadership capacity paid off and after they shared their learning highlights with an audience of managers & Snr leaders, I was delighted to present each of them with their well-earned certificates from The Institute of Leadership. 👨‍🎓 👏

Celebrating achievements gives you best feelings!

Huge congratulations to the Hospice cohort that embarked on their Grade 5 Leadership Accreditation in November 2022 and completed in July 2023.

Alongside their full-time jobs, they committed to 4 Modules, 11 sessions and a whopping 48 learning outcomes. Their hard work and commitment to this programme paid off and so we celebrated with shared learning, cake, photos and the all-important certificate presentations.

John Knight, Hospice CEO said “It was great to hear about the learning journeys that our staff have been on and how quickly they have begun putting their learning into practise. Learning and development is a key part of how we ensure that our staff are equipped and ready to deliver the excellence that Hospice is known for and skilled leaders are as critical to success in the charity sector as they are in the for profit sector.”

This cohort welcomed me into their Hospice Home and introduced me to the fantastic work that Hospice does on our beautiful island. It was my absolute pleasure to work with such a great bunch of people and a wonderful community organisation.
