Teeing off in style for the 2024 Hospice Charity Golf Day!
Our team of golfing aficionados - Ryan Jones (captain), Jamie Delaney, Seb Thomas and Dom Litton brought their ‘A’ game to this event and finished second place with a mighty nett score of 58.1.
All this fun in aid of one of our favourite local charity’s, Hospice IOM. The event raised a whopping £7,600.
👏 Well done to everyone involved and thank you for having us!

At the beginning of August, PlayItForward and it’s wonderful partners treated 17 young persons (ranging from five to 15 years old) along with three adults to a day of respite at Chester Zoo.
Our partners love what Crossroads Isle of Man is doing for young carers and wanted to get involved. So they raised funds via a coat sale, which provided enough money to give each person a lunch, dinner and treat on the day. In addition, their generosity continued by providing snacks for breakfast and the boat journey.
We’re so glad that everyone enjoyed the well-deserved day out and it was filled with fun and memories.
Thank you to all the PlayItForward partners, Billie and Maddie from Crossroads Isle of Man for helping to make the day happen, as well as IOM Steam Packet for offering the experience.

Spotlight on Sustainability! 🌿
We're excited to highlight our ongoing partnership with Manx Wildlife Trust, featured in Media Isle of Man’s recent GreenLife supplement.
Since 2021, we’ve proudly supported MWT’s mission to protect local wildlife and promote sustainability on the Isle of Man.
Our collaboration has seen the development of the Nature Recovery Network and community-driven initiatives through . Together, we’ve planted micro forests in Port Erin and supported the puffin breeding programme on the Calf of Man.
Graham Makepeace-Warne, MWT’s Head of Engagement, shared: “PlayItForward has been a key partner in our efforts, helping us make a tangible impact on the island’s biodiversity.”

Our very own Kate Moughtin, alongside sustainability champions, Clara Isaac from Recycle Collect Limited and Graham Makepeace-Warne from Manx Wildlife Trust, recently joined forces for the Media Isle of Man Future Series 2024 cover shoot. This special edition of the Courier, hitting shelves next Friday, shines a spotlight on the 'Green Life' campaign.

Our 2023 donation has enabled Ygam to deliver their groundbreaking Preventing Gambling Harms in Diverse Communities programme, aimed at safeguarding young people from ethnic minority populations.
This UK wide programme aims to raise awareness and address the issue of gambling harm disproportionately affecting people from ethnic minority populations.
Ygam provides educational workshops to faith and community groups where the content explores gaming and gambling harm amongst minority communities centering on socio-cultural and religious contexts of shame and stigma relating to gambling harms.
We recently had the privilege of joining Daniel Bliss, Director of External Affairs at Ygam, for a live webinar where he provided valuable insights into the incredible work the charity is doing.
We're proud to support Ygam in their mission and would like to thank Daniel and the entire team for their dedication and commitment.

We stepped up for National Walking Day yesterday, as we welcomed Breeshey Kermode from Unesco Biosphere Isle of Man into our office! She updated us on the amazing work of Biosphere IOM and shared her tips for exploring our Island with some stunning walking routes!
But that's not all – we're taking our wellness commitment one step further! Throughout April, we're launching a Steps Challenge, encouraging our team to get moving and track their steps. Plus, we're transforming our traditional sit-down meetings into refreshing "walk and talks". It's all about stepping out, breathing in the fresh air, and letting creativity flow in a new setting.
And because we're all about supporting our team's wellness journey, we've teamed up with Vitality UK, to offer a 50% discount on trainers to get them geared up for their walking adventures!

Manx Wildlife Trust is another local charity close to our hearts 💚
This year, we're continuing our backing for the puffin conservation project on the Calf of Mann. This initiative aims to encourage these beautiful birds to breed on the Calf once again, using real-to-life decoys and a speaker system. Our volunteers recently joined the Manx Wildlife Trust team to repair and replace the damaged decoys, getting them ready to be installed later this month.
Thank you to Lara Howe, Tom Morgan and all the volunteers from our Play It Forward partners, for a fun and informative day, and for making a real difference in local conservation efforts. Together, we're working towards a brighter future for our wildlife and environment.

Our team were thrilled to have spent a day with Motiv8 Addiction Services - IOM Charity 275 back in December, learning about their life-changing work in supporting individuals and families battling addiction.
In appreciation, we sent a donation of Christmas gifts and funds to help those in need during the festive season. The team were incredibly grateful for the support and it is an important reminder that charities like these need our support all year round, not just during the festive season.
Play it Forward is proud to announce a project with Circa Isle OfMan a vital charity serving the Isle of Man community 💚
CIRCA provides an essential service, through its Shopmobility Isle of Man programme. This programme offers short-term loans of mobility equipment to individuals facing mobility challenges and gives them, for example, the ability to access the shopping areas of Douglas. CIRCA is also celebrating its 30th anniversary this year.
Recognising the wear and tear that comes with constant use, particularly with their manual mobility wheelchairs nearing the end of their operational life, Play it Forward has stepped up with a donation to replace the entire fleet, guaranteeing uninterrupted service delivery to the Isle of Man community. Together, we are making a real difference in the lives of those who rely on CIRCA's services, ensuring they can continue to access the support they need for years to come.
Thank you, CIRCA, for the invaluable work you do and happy 30th anniversary! Let's continue to stand together in support of our community and make a positive impact where it's needed most.
