As most of you already know I have a primary immune disorder and have weekly infusions. There only limited places in the UK where you can donate plasma.

Someone with an immune disorder needs around 130 donations a year to help save their life. People with PID rely on the generosity and commitment of plasma and blood donors. Plasma donations are an essential gift to people in need of immunoglobulins and other plasma-derived medicinal products.

This is the same situation I have - I am one of the primary immune deficiency patients similar to CVID who receives immunoglobulin therapy and who may not be protected by the vaccines so with the changes ahead I am reviewing our risk assessments and asking pupils to be patient as we may still require you to wear a mask in face to face lessons.

Covid-19: 'For us it's not freedom day, is it?' Their medical conditions mean they are considered vulnerable to Covid. How are they feeling now?

A huge part of Deal Music Summer school has been mums dads dusting off those instruments and whole families playing together.
We may not be able to do that this year but what about a bit of ukulele instead??
It was fun at Broadstairs Folk week a few years ago.
So here for those over 14 is an alternative.
Event is free but you do need your own instrument - which after all the years of primary school classroom ukulele in kent you may already have one in your house somewhere!

Well we made it back to face to face lessons for the few whose bubbles haven’t burst……

Unfortunately despite having been fully vaccinated and having had covid and regular negative lateral flow tests a member of my household has been contacted by track and trace and told they need to self isolate which under Covid -19 restrictions means I cannot teach pupils here.

I will be in contact via email to confirm online lessons and alternative slots as all being well the isolation period ends on June 30th.

All lessons will be back online until then.
