Our dental nurse Lauren was nervous about getting her root canal treatment, here's what she had to say :

“I was so nervous when I found out my front tooth needed root treated because I know that when you have RCT the tooth is dead and it can go discoloured. Since getting the root treatment I’ve had 4 lots of internal bleaching from Richard which consists of creating a hole In the tooth and filling it with some bleach (specific for whitening), popping in some cotton wool and filling with a temporary filling to protect the tooth, once all 4 rounds were done the tooth was filled with composite and my tooth barely looks different to my other natural teeth. Knowing that there were options such as bleaching, veneers, composite bonding or crowns to keep my tooth looking natural has made me feel so much better as there’s always another option than taking it out and having to get a denture as I’m still young.”
