A self-check for mouth cancer takes 45 seconds and can save your life.
Three signs and symptoms you should never ignore are:
• Mouth ulcers that do not heal in three weeks.
• Red and white patches in the mouth.
• Unusual lumps or swellings in the mouth or head and neck area.

If you notice any of these signs, or you have any changes in the mouth, it is essential that you tell your dentist or doctor immediately – if in doubt get checked out!
