We have a few MTB courses coming up in November.

We have a MIAS MTB leader running at Derwenthaugh 17-18 August. This will be day run as they have a course using the accommodation.

Due to a cancellation, we have an opportunity to run a MIAS MTB Leader course 11-12 May. This will be ran from Derwenthaugh Regional Boat Station with the cycling being done at Hamsterley Forest.
It’s will be a day run course however limited accommodation may be available if anyone has a fair distance to travel.
Course will cost £50 for Logbook, Certificate and 1st yr MIAS Membership payable to MSSC.

Il need numbers ASAP and I will add people to WM.

The first monthly virtual drop-in session with the Northern Area Adventure Training Area Staff Officer will take place on Wednesday 18th October at 7.30pm (1930)

Adult CFAVs - Short Notice Opportunity has just become available next weekend - particularly of interest to London Area Sea Cadets Adventure Training-LASCAT London Area Sea Cadets Training Pageand Southern Area Sea Cadets

Next weekend 5-6 Nov 22 we have the following last minute opportunities.

MIAS MTB Leader 1 and 2 - open to CFAVs with evidence of 10 rides in blue (L1) or 10 rides in red (L2) or MIAS MTB Skills. - cost Nil

MIAS Skills Level 1 and 2 - open to any experienced CFAV wishing to do more biking ready for leader training - cost Nil

Single day riding - either Sat or Sun for experience. Cost Nil.

MIAS Level 1 to Level 2 Leader upgrade - for Level 1s who now feel ready to upgrade to Level 2.

Ideally your have your own Bike, Helmet and Gloves, however these can be loaned if needed.

Location - Deers Leap Bike Park, East Grinstead, Surrey. Day running or camping available for Saturday night if needed.

Spaces expected to fill up fast, and due to short notice, interested parties should email [email protected] directly.
