Since 2021, Isla Fairfield has been on an incredible journey and boy, or should I say girl, she’s absolutely killing it….

We're looking for a couple of enthusiastic, hard-working folk to join our amazing existing team. If you're interested or would like more information about either of the roles, please email [email protected] - we'd love to hear from you!!!

~ Front of House - 20 hours per week - evening and daytime mid-week hours available and 1 weekend day. Must be over 18 years of age. Experience preferred but not essential as full training will be provided.

~ Kitchen Assistant - 10 hours per week - must be available to work weekends and must be over 18 years of age. Experience of working in a kitchen desirable although not essential as full training will be provided.

As most of you already know, Ms Michelle Plummer who has been with us since the very day we got the keys to The Bruce Arms, almost 8 years ago, will soon be departing us to start a new chapter in her life.

We’ve been through ups and downs, good times and bad times, Covid, parties, weddings, outside dining, inside wining… it’s been a long but wonderful and very rewarding journey. All of us will undoubtedly miss Michelle and of course Otis… but we will always wish her very well in he next journey. And we will always be forever grateful of her contribution to making this pub what it is today. THANK YOU 🙏

We’ll be having a leaving celebration on Saturday 6th July from 8pm onwards… there’ll be music, crisps on tables and everything… there’s also a collection behind the bar to say thank you for Michelle’s contribution over the years…

Come down and say hello or goodbye as we say farewell (but not goodbye) to a Limekilns Legend. ❤️

When we started our journey 8 years ago all we ever wanted to do was pub food, but to do it well.

We can do fancy when there’s a requirement for it, but in general, all we wanted was a great team who take pride and enjoy what they do, a great atmosphere with our lovely locals and travelling visitors and good quality, home cooked pub food..

On Sunday, we will compete for the Fife Challenge Cup for the third year in a row.

Only Auld Hoose FC stand in our way from securing back to back silverware.

We'd like to ask Family, Friends, The Bruce Arms/Limekilns Legends and the locals from the Bruce Arms to come down and support the lads and then we'd also like you to join us back at the The Bruce Arms who have been a tremendous support for us throughout the season and many seasons previous for a pint or 10 and celebrate the occasion with us.

On behalf of URNU Belfast I would just to thank all our amazing customers and everyone else who supported the The Bruce Arms Charity Quiz Night and all those that purchased raffle tickets for the hamper it was greatly appreciated and added £1,250 to our online donations bringing our fundraising total to c. £3,300 plus gift aid.

The three teams and solo runner did amazingly on the day and all survived to tell the tale and surprisingly the weather was amazing.

A big thank you also to Leslie for leading with the raffle and Kev for running the quiz on the night, as always much appreciated.

Belfast, the weather was kind… even if leg 4 certainly was not!

Record distances for both Morven Rennie and Phillip Boyling attained during the actual race and Morven’s reaching half marathon heights after she passed the baton and decided she wasn’t quite finished there, running a further 3km. Well done Morven.

AND THANK YOU - to everyone one who liked or shared, donated, provided support and enthusiasm… over £2700 will be on its way to Scottish Action for Mental Health. And thanks also to the support crew a- what a team.
