Eagles Special Olympics Club

Tonight, the Eagles Olympics team make their return to the 4G pitches tonight after their success in the World Games in Germany. A total of 4 gold medals were won in total in football and Bocce. We welcome everyone to the 4G pitches from 7:30 tonight to congratulate all who competed in Germany last week.

The next new 4 weeks Mat based pilates classes will start Tuesday 20th June 7pm in the fianna hall to book your Mat Contact Steven mc Nulty on 07739262827

The main entrance to the grounds will be closed for a few days while work is being carried out around the hall. Can everyone who will be coming up to the hall/4g to please use the bottom gates beside the changing rooms as the main entrance/exit?

New prices will come in effect from tomorrow April 1st.

New prices come into effect from this Friday April 1st.

Due to rising facility costs, the Fianna committee have had to make the decision to raise facility hire prices. The new prices will come into effect from April 1st 2022 and are as follows:
Large 4G: £40 per hour
Small 4G: £30 per hour
Indoor Hall off-peak: £25 per hour
Indoor hall peak: £35 per hour
Off peak hours are Mon-Sun 9am-5pm
Peak hours are Mon-Fri 5pm-11pm
We would like to thank everyone who has hired our facilities and we hope to see you all again in the near future.

Now that restrictions are starting to ease across the country we can now open up our Indoor hall for bookings keeping within the current guidelines in place. Following guidelines from Croke Park our 4G pitches are now closed until further notice. We will reopen as soon as it's safe to do so. Please stick to government guidelines in our battle to slow down the spread Covid-19. Please spread the word.

As a mark of respect to Jonny and his family our 4G pitches will be closed until further notice.

This morning we all received the shocking and devastating news that our friend and former player Johnny Curran passed away suddenly at the age of 33. Words cannot describe the hurt and pain we are all feeling for Johnnys family partner Clodagh and two boys Neasán and Darsái. Johnny was a great friend both on and off the field. His footballing career was something to be very proud of winning an All Ireland minor title with Tyrone in 2004 and then went on to win an All Ireland senior title in 2008. He played club senior football from 2004 until 2017 reaching 3 County finals in 2007, 2010 and 2016 with the highlight of course capturing the O'Neill Cup in 2010. Johnny was a very friendly outgoing lad who lit up every room he entered especially changing rooms with his teammates. Johnny will always be remembered for his personality smile and great sense of humour. To his parents Anthony and Alicia, his brother Stephen sister Louise partner Clodagh and two sons Neasán and Darsái we extend our deepest sympathies and condolences to you all. Johnny will never be forgotten as he will live on through each and everyone of you.

We have now decided that all bookings for our 4G pitches and Indoor hall must be done online. Here we have teamed up with Skedda for our booking system. Very simple to use, just click on your preferred slot and type in your email address. We then receive an email confirmation of your booking. Fast and effective way of booking your slot within seconds. We ask everyone to please start using this method for bookings from now on. An online payment method will be made available soon if you wish to pay that way. Also you can save Skedda as an app on your phone for quick easy access. We hope this makes everything easier for all of us.

Cancer patient raises almost £20,000 for charity after being given months to live A YOUNG Co Tyrone woman given just months to live after contracting a rare form of cancer has raised almost £20,000 for charity in less than a week.

Just for everyone's knowledge that Lauren Corr has kindly offered to take control of the hall and 4G pitches bookings from next week on (January 13th). We all really appreciate Lauren taking over this role and wish her all the best with it.

🔵⚪ Important noticed regarding 4g/hall bookings 🔵⚪

In recent weeks and months we have noticed that a number of personnel booking the hall and more importantly the 4G pitches sometimes fail to show up for their slot without prior notice. It has now been decided that any group or personnel that does not show up for their slot without any prior notice will be charged for the slot which they booked. If you can't make the booking for whatever reason and give notice of at least 4 hours before your slot then you will not be charged. Alot of people give up their free time to organise bookings, open/close the hall & 4g and more. All we ask is a little curiosity from the personnel if they can't make their slot. We hope you can understand were we are coming from as volunteers who give up their free time. Many thanks for your continued support throughout the years and for the incoming year.

Today began my new camp “TARGET TRAINING” and I was blessed with 18 children ready and raring to go 💪
My camp was divided into 4 areas;
1️⃣Flexibility
2️⃣Agility
3️⃣Stamina
4️⃣Developing self confidence

Each area came with its own unique challenge and all the kids participated to their best ability. I want every child in the camp to be able to apply these drills and exercises at home, that way they will keep improving in each area. Improvement will only come with repetition, persistence and encouragement from parents. Looking forward to seeing them all tomorrow.
