Under The Same Moon

As I’m on I thought I would give a quick update on what’s going on in my life, Mary jo is also very very busy but that’s a different story lol.
Where do I start:
We are still here and helping those who need it where we can. Obviously my time is being split into very small parts as my husband is now getting ready to start his radiotherapy. We are looking into senior school for our youngest whom as you know has ASD so we need to make sure it is perfect for him. I have my beautiful new grandson whom is keeping us sane, a christening and a wedding. My extended family are needing a little more support in places. Thank you as always for all the support you give us we really do appreciate everything. Love Fiona

Good morning everyone hope you are all well!
As always I’m on the scrounge:
I’m looking for things to hep a gentleman whom is moving from supported accommodation into his own bungalow and literally has nothing except a few bit and pieces:

A double headboard or even some material to use on the headboard I have which in need of a bit of tlc
A lamp for the living room
I know I’m being very cheeky but come February I will be giving away most of the contents of my house as im pulling the whole place to bits.

Good evening I hope everyone is well. I’m babysitting my beautiful grandson for a few hours tonight but yes I’m still working.

Mother and son whom are being housed and literally starting out.
They need:
A double bed
Small table and chairs
Small wardrobe and drawers.

Just to let you know we are still here and still doing what we can to help those in need. So an hour ago I received 200 brand new and sealed baby bottles within that hour I have contacted an amazing charity that most people have never heard of called “Love Amelia”. This little charity is amazing and helps those who need help with children from new to 16 years to make sure nobody goes
without. Please if you are need of help or believe you may be able to help someone else please remember we are here and we are still helping where we can

Just a quick hello 👋🏼 to say we are still alive. Fiona’s still indisposed due to family circumstances (although she’s very much in the background) however, she has become a very proud Grandma for the first time this week to a gorgeous baby boy👶🏻🍼. I’ve been also extremely busy trying to start up my own little business. Rustic and genuine Vintage event decor @ Rustic Enchantment . (Getting our name out there is hard so a like and a share wouldn’t go a miss - little plug!). Neither of us have forgotten UTSM and have been helping a few local families in the background. Good evening everyone! We feel we need to put a rumour that’s circulating to bed. Fiona and Mary Jo have not fallen out and are still the best of friends. We have both been busy together helping people less fortunate quietly behind the scenes. Fiona has occasionally taken (and shall as required) a step back for no other reason other than due to ongoing family related issues. We aim to help anyone in need but obviously when our own families need us they will always come first. TEAM Under The Same Moon is as strong as ever. Love and respect to all our followers. Good afternoon every I hope you all enjoying the beautiful sunshine today.
I’m in need of some help again (this time it’s Fiona asking lol) Im in desperate need for any baby girl clothes in lovely condition please also any baby girl things you may have lying round doing nothing. We need a cot, baby chair/ bouncer a baby bath, changing mat and top and tail bowl. If anyone could help with some baby toiletries that would also be amazing. Thursday the 30th is the last day I can collect and take further donations as the stuff then needs to go to the school on the Friday. Hello everyone. Thank you all so much for the offers of help and assistance for this refugee family we are currently helping. The family themselves are very thankful, humbled and overwhelmed by your astounding generosity. They are embarrassed with the position they find themselves currently in and for this reason we are helping them through the school their child attends. This morning I delivered this lot to my friend who works in the school and requested the help. I shall update when I manage to gather any further information re sizes etc Mary Jo

I need to give a massive shout out to a lovely family I have met today. The very talented Sue Swann has knitted a big bundle of gorgeous Baby blankets for Under The Same Moon and it was an absolute pleasure to meet you, your husband and son today. Thank you all for the warm welcome and I honestly could sit Sue and talk to your husband all day, what a lovely gentleman he is. Much love and my sincere appreciation for all your hard work. MJ xo

Apologies it’s been so long since we posted. We do however require some help immediately. We have just been notified of a young refugee family who has moved into the area and have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING but the clothes they came with. The couple have a 5/6 year old boy and a baby due in the next couple of weeks. If anyone has anything spare that could be donated to this family please get in touch with us - household items, toys, boys clothes 5yrs to 7yrs, newborn and baby clothes (don’t know gender yet so glad of anything), food items, toiletries, Nappies etc etc - basically they have nothing. Adult clothes and shoes sizes I will post on Monday. xo

Well happy new year to you all. Sorry we are a little late but to be honest we haven’t actually stopped. So much for taking the time off till after our birthdays well that hasn’t actually happened. Anyway we are still out there still supporting people as best we can but we are also going to have to start a major fundraising task as the purse is looking very lite. so thinking caps on and let’s pull together and see what we can do as I have a feeling this year is going to be harder than last year for a lot of people!!! So we have done our last run this side of Christmas. We visited Darren at PACT House. Our little boys collect loads via the reverse advert calendar with the help of their class mates and we took other donations along too. Thanks to everyone who contributed.

Been a rather busy day for Under The Same Moon. This morning shopping at Tesco and Costco; this afternoon delivering Christmas food hampers to the local families we have been supporting recently. Now both Mrs S and Mrs B are shattered and need a cuppa.

A big thank you to Derwentside Amateur Swimming Club who have supported our young fundraiser Mia with our Christmas food and toy appeal. What you managed to collect was fantastic! Along with Mia we at Under The Same Moon are so grateful for all the donations and amazing support you have given us; thank you all xo

Went to collect our little people from school this afternoon and was met by one of the kids friends with a huge box of donations. Thank you very much to the Densham family & Friends xoxo

Got to give a wonderful couple Paul & Leesha Quinn and their very handsome grandson a big shout out. Fiona and I (Mary Jo) who are the faces of UTSM had our Christmas night out last night and have a very busy week ahead. Food shopping for UTSM, sorting family Christmas Day hampers for a number of families we are currently supporting, delivering reverse advent calendar goodies to PACK House etc. If anyone has anything they still wish to donate for our less fortunate friends, can you please get in touch asap. After the 22nd we are having some much needed time with our own families and friends and have our two birthdays to celebrate too a week apart in January.
