We are currently looking for a talented person to join us as Full Time Assistant Accountant at Lanchester Dairies Ltd.
Working as part of a small team you’ll assist in the day-to-day accounting functions and in the preparation of Monthly Management Accounts.
You will ideally possess or be working towards AAT Level 2, have experience in both Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger functions, and have a good knowledge of balance sheet reconciliations.
You will be highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to meet strict deadlines.
You’ll be a team player with good interpersonal and communication skills, highly computer literate and have experience of working with Microsoft Excel spreadsheets and formulas.

Working as part of a small team you will be responsible for answering the Order desk telephone, accurately inputting orders, printing loading schedules and administration of relating documents.
Working hours (Some flexibility on weekday hours if required)
4 x weekdays 8am – 4pm (Some flexibility on weekday hours if required) 1 x weekday 8am -12noon 1 x Saturday 8.30am – 11.30am
Salary £9.50 p/h depending on experience.
Bank holiday cover is required.
28 days holiday per annum
About You

As more and more business's open back up can I just say a massive thank you and well done to all the lads and lasses here who haven't missed a days work. We have had an extremely busy, hard and difficult few weeks (as everybody has) and yet you have come to work every day so everyone got their milk deliveries. To some people having their daily milk is the most important thing to them and we haven't let anyone down. Thanks and a massive well done ..... and how could we forget our team at Landair Commercials who keep the wheels turning no deliveries possible without them .......

Sgt Simpson: PLEASE SHARE - I've just been speaking with the who have raised concerns about people using public footpaths through farm yards and close to farm buildings. Please remember some farmers are having to self isolate for various reasons and you could be putting the very people that provide food for the nation at risk.

Try to avoid walking on routes through farm yards if you are taking your daily exercise. Please also consider until we learn more about this virus the risk of numerous hands touching the same gate latches and stiles. We have already seen some members of the farming community (not Cheshire) suffer abuse and physical assault for raising their concerns with those crossing their land and not playing their part to help reduce the risks, and this unacceptable.

On another note, we are also seeing an increase in dogs being exercised across farm land away from footpaths. Please ensure your dogs are under proper control. During this lockdown - I would suggest on a lead even more so than normal.

Thanks in anticipation of your help with this during these testing times and please do remember to keep washing those hands and looking after one another.
