Today is ‘Read a Book Day’, so we took a trip out to the library to see what new books we could find! 📚

Currently in our space, our cadets favourite books seem to be ‘Mummy Fish and Me’ and ‘The Wheels on the Bus’ 🐠🚌

The very hungry caterpillar week, Watching our very hungry caterpillars waiting paitently to turn in the beautiful butterfly's, the children have enjoyed watching the caterpillars eating and becoming a cocoon, hopefully after the weekend we will see our butterfly's :)

🌈🎨 This week, we're learning all about colors and had an amazing time painting with colored ice! The children loved watching the ice melt and mix to create beautiful new shades. It's wonderful to see their creativity and excitement as they explore the world of colors!

We have been focusing on nature this week. The children have been extremely busy using a wide range of resources which encourages them to use different grasps. Children have been on a hunt for Sticks to do a nature picture using sticks to print with the paints, the children have been digging and collecting the mud using diggers and shovels to plant their very own pea plant which will be transfered into our vegetable patch to grow and have taster sessions.

We have also been baking as the children asked to make cookies.

Chinese new year, lots of crafts, glitter and sticking this week and a trip to captain jacks. The children enjoyed our nature walk and looking for the ducks :)

Our theme for next week is Nature and we have a fun filled week planned :)

We have had a busy week this week making bear crafts after reading "we are going on a bear hunt" book at story time, The children have enjoyed creating there own bear pictures painting and mark making. We collected leafs and sticks and created our own nature pictures :) Next week we are learning about Chinese new year and having taster sessions with the Chinese foods :)

Space Cadets childminding now have spaces available for before and after school children from Thrumpton primary and St Joseph catholic school.
