Milia removal with PlasmaPen and manual extraction ✨

Milia are tiny white or yellowish bumps (pimples or cysts) that can appear on your eyelids, around the mouth, nose or cheeks.

✨Although milia is a harmless condition, often, patients want them removed for aesthetic purposes ❤️

Removal is simple and very quick. We use the PlasmaPen to make controlled injured to the milia to facilitate easy extraction with professional equipment.

✨Redness (as seen in the after picture) is expected straight after the procedure as extraction causes some normal inflammatory reactions in the skin.

This is normal and is expected to subside within 2 hours, leaving behind smoother milia-free skin 💃🏻✨

The duration of the removal depends on the number of milia but usually treatments last 30 minutes or so!

❗️So many people are using SPF wrong! But it’s so important to use it right ❗️

1️⃣ 🚫I only need SPF on sunny days. False.

Sunburn and sun damage may be associated with hot, sunny weather, but they can also occur in cold, cloudy conditions.

While clouds filter some UVB rays, they don’t block UVA rays which are a risk factor for melanoma.

2️⃣❤️ I don’t need SPF because it’s in my make up.

False. Now, SPF in make up does count but it’s not enough to provide the recommended SPF levels you need for the day, even if they’re marketed to be SPF30…

You should also be reapplying sunscreen throughout the day to meet these recommendations🌞

3️⃣🚫 sunscreen is waterproof. So I don’t need to reapply after swimming 🏊‍♂️

False. There is no such thing as waterproof sunscreen.

There is, however, water-resistant sunscreen. These products offer water-resistant sun protection according to the time and SPF level specified on each product.

Heading for a beach day or outdoor workout? Choose a water-resistant sunscreen and follow the product instructions on how often to reapply.
