Would you like to travel to the sacred Himalayan mountains of the Kingdom of Bhutan, where Dzonghka is the language spoken in the fortress monasteries? These places of serenity inspired Dzongkha, a mystical fragrance that captures their atmosphere. Wafting around the incense are tanned leather, sweet spiced tea and peony and iris flowers.

Whilst both come from the same tree, the bitter orange tree, they are distinguished by their extraction techniques. Orange blossom corresponds to the absolute obtained by extraction with a volatile solvent. Meanwhile neroli, obtained by distillation, characterizes the essential oil.

Jasmine, native to India, is a shrub of the Oleaceae family. Remarkably, out of more than 200 varieties, only two are used in perfumery: Jasminum grandiflorum and Jasminum sambac. Jasmine grandiflorum, cultivated in Grasse since the 19th century, is still celebrated every year during parades featuring floats boasting Jasmine in bloom.
