What a start to the New Year!

Not only have we completely redecorated the cafe at LOVE Gorgie Farm, we are also delighted to announce that we have teamed up with our friends at Rustique Interiors to showcase their 'Rewilding' series art on our freshly decorated walls!

These beautiful prints take well loved Edinburgh landmarks and imagine what might happen if animals were to repopulate the city. The work was produced during 2018/19 before lockdown when the animals really did start to venture back into town!

Come by to buy these stunning prints and treat yourself to one of our delicious homemade cakes and coffee.

To mark the occasion we are introducing a brand-new US themed breakfast menu including US style bacon, sausage patties, home fries, Eggs Benedict, eggs however else you like them, country ham, biscuits and gravy and, of course, waffles.

To wash it down there will be pots of coffee, OJ and cranberry juice. Tea is optional.

Tickets are now available for the inaugural Gorgie City Farm Pumpkin Pick.

These events will be taking place in the from 11:00 to 15:00 on the 18th-30th October and are priced at £12.00.

This includes entry for your group, your chosen pumpkin, a set of pumpkin carving templates, a soft/hot drink and a Halloween treat. The price is per pumpkin not per person so if you need two pumpkins simply buy two tickets.

Additional drinks and snacks will also be available for purchase.

Looking for something a bit different to do with the kids during the October holidays? If so, the Cafe @ Gorgie City Farm could be just what you are looking for.

We will shortly be making available a limited number of tickets to come along to the farm and pick your own pumpkin to take home and turn into a Halloween masterpiece!

These ticket only events will be taking place in the early evenings of 18-25th October and will be priced at £12.00. This will include entry, your chosen pumpkin, a set of pumpkin carving templates, a soft/hot drink and a Halloween treat. Additional drinks and snacks will also be available for purchase.

What a good idea it was to move the Hearts vs. Hibs game to a 12:00 kick off! Now fans from both sides of the city will get to enjoy a pre match hot drink and breakfast roll in one of the most unique cafes in the city!

We will be serving a full range of breakfast rolls, pastries, burgers and chips as well as hot and cold drinks.

Located approximately 30 seconds walk from the stadium we are the perfect place to get some pre match sustenance!

Ok. Not quite yet. But if you have been holding back from visiting the farm due to travel restrictions then today could be a good day to visit!

We have a carefully thought out one way system in place and all indoor areas other than the toilets are closed. So, if you are in the mood for some cute furry animals and cake then we’ve got you covered!

We are big believers in supporting local businesses wherever possible and therefore we are very happy to announce that we will now be serving The Cobbled Roastery coffee!

The Cobbled Roastery are a local coffee roastery that roasts fresh beans daily in the heart of Edinburgh - Thistle St to be precise!

They use 100% Arabica beans that are fully traceable back to the farm in Las Galeras, Columbia.

The unique soil conditions in the region were created by the volcanic compounds that have been produced during over a million years of volcanic eruptions in the region. This premium quality Colombian coffee has notes of chocolate with berry fruit and a low acidity which makes for a great brew.

It may have taken over a million years to create the perfect conditions for the beans but thankfully you don't have to wait as long to sample what we think is one of the best coffees we've ever tasted! Come and try it yourself by visiting us on the farm or order online from Just Eat!

We are so excited that the farm is reopening on Easter Monday and it will be great to see you all again!

Dear friends, our Sardinian chef has been feeling a bit homesick recently so he's been busy making some dished that remind him of home.

So now, as well as making the best breakfast rolls and paninis in town, we have also welcomed Caponata and Culurgiones to the menu!

Never heard of Culurgiones? Neither had we!. They are traditional dumplings from Sardinia filled with creamy mashed potatoes, cheese, EV olive oil, garlic and mint.

And for those new to Caponata it is a Sicilian stew that consists of deep fried aubergines with slow cooked fresh tomato and onions sauce enriched with olives and capers. We serve ours with grilled bread. Yum.

Dear friends, some great news! With restrictions remaining in place we have decided to take our farm fresh food online by partnering with Just Eat so that you can enjoy our menu from the comfort of your own home!

Finally, we can also bring hot food with your orders for chilled if you wish such as filled breakfast rolls and toasted sandwiches. We can also include hot chocolate, coffees or teas.
