It is 35 years since the fall of the Berlin Wall, and this milestone also coincides with the founding year of our festival.
To mark this, we have some special guest storytellers from Berlin next week as part of our 'Bridges Between' programme to share stories and films from their divided and reunified city.

The Tree of Memory...🌲
For the final week of our festival, storytellers and audiences are invited to gather at the Tree of Memory by artist Kate Warner in the Scottish Storytelling Centre.
Hear stories of our tradition bearers, and add a leaf to honour elders and celebrate your own memories of lives well lived.

Today celebrates the first UNESCO International Day of the Intangible Cultural Heritage! 💛
This day underscores the essential role intangible heritage plays in promoting global unity, sustainability, and cultural diversity.
Our online Global Lab event 'Germany & Scotland, Hidden Heritage', hosted by Steve Byrne, looks at the intangible cultural heritage of both countries and discusses how such treasures are being passed down to future generations.
