It's a personal favourite of ours, and we've loved working with the title before, but here's a chance to see The Illusionist at one of the very locations featured on screen. If we could wave a magic wand, our wish would be for a double bill with 'Mon Oncle'.
The Illusionist A French illusionist finds himself out of work and travels to Scotland, where he meets a young woman. Their ensuing adventure changes both their lives forever.
It's not just a game anymore. Our Hallowe'en screening of 'Clue' is now fully booked. We've enabled the waitlist, so sign up in case of returns. Perhaps you too can join us in 1954, if you dare.

Are you a digital artist between the age of 18 and 28 based in Scotland? Do you want the chance to have your own solo exhibition with a £7.5k production award?
Hotel Generation is a yearly, UK-wide development programme that provides vital mentoring and support to young digital artists. You’ll have the chance to be mentored by New Media Scotland in preparing an exhibition proposal around the theme ‘The Body, The Mind, The Soul’. The winning artist, selected by a panel of industry experts, will have a solo exhibition at arebyte Gallery in London.
New Media Scotland along with G39, Knowle West Media Centre, Mediale and Phoenix have joined forces with arebyte to mentor the next generation of digital artists across the UK. Responding to the lack of support for young artists during the critical and unproven early stages of establishing a career in the arts, Hotel Generation equips them with the skills to manage sustainable careers.
DEADLINE: 20th November 2023.

Happy birthday Campbeltown Picture House! The only remaining example of an Atmospheric movie theatre in Scotland.
It’s our 110th birthday!
Since the cinema opened we’ve had two world wars, two pandemics, 5 Monarchs and 26 Prime Ministers (but most of those were in the past 12 months…).
Man set foot on the Moon for the first time, organ transplants were developed, the Berlin Wall came down, women gained the right to vote, blood banks were introduced, Concorde broke the sound barrier, the mighty NHS was created, we survived Y2K, decimalisation came in and the word ‘literally’ literally doesn’t mean what it used to.
Here’s to another 110 years.
We are delighted to announce five new Alt-w projects for the Music Hall screen in Aberdeen. 'Moving On' by KMG is first up and live right now, followed by work from Lindsey Carr, Andrey Chugonov, Luci Holland Music and Bright Side Studios . For more information visit - tinyurl.com/Alt-wCycle15

Alt-w alumni Alex Menzies, also known as DJ Alex Smoke, was awarded a Creative Research Artist Fellowships to research the various psychological and physiological effects of sound as part of NHS Lothian's Art & Therapeutic Design programme.
