Large Sequoia removal in Peebles last week. Large limbs were failing frequently very close to the property. After various inspections and testing by the forestry commission, three different pathogens were found present within the tree causing the decline. Photos showing the dismantling process and the sheer size of the stump! Removed very efficiently and safely by the team all to our planned timescale.

Removal of a large heavily decayed tree in Colinton this week in a very tight spot. All rigged down safely, Client very happy they now have peace of mind the dangerous tree is removed.

Removal of a diseased Beech tree last week in Livingston. The tree was infected with a disease called Ganoderma, which is a fungi that affects the entire tree but mainly causes severe root and stem decay as it evolves. After council permission was received on behalf of our client, we removed the tree promptly for safety reasons.

The extent of decay within the stem was much more than anticipated, so this just shows the importance of regular inspections of your mature trees. If you require any help of advice please don’t hesitate to contact us

Removal of 2 Crispy Ash trees and a very dangerous Sycamore over the car park at a hotel in Edinburgh last week. Job completed efficiently and on time for client to reopen car park to all guests.

Some pruning works undertaken this week for an existing client. Great to be trusted to work on trees along one of the most prestigious streets in the City Centre. Client very happy with results 👏🏻

A nice woodland management project completed this week in Colinton for the Woodfield Park Residents association. The team removed four large diseased/dangerous trees that were overhanging the woodland path and main road. We also completed various safety works throughout the woodland, as part of the management plan. All works completed with minimal damage within the woodland using our low impact machinery. Client very happy with final results 👏🏻👏🏻

The team have been busy this week undertaking aerial inspections and survey work on a large property in Lasswade. We will now be maintaining this clients trees annually.

After poor weather and storms it is vital to undertake safety inspections of your trees to gauge overall health and undertake any emergency remedial works. A recent complex job removing some dangerous trees from an embankment along the water of Leith. Various rigging techniques involved and all waste removed to the top of embankment!

🚨🚨🚨🚨 We have been very busy that last couple of weeks with numerous call outs and emergency works. More high winds are forecast for this week, so please contact us if you require any assistance. We are tending to emergencies as a priority, however we are also scheduling in clearing storm damaged trees for clients that aren’t an immediate safety risk.

Great work this week from the team dismantling a large Lime tree in Edinburgh. The tree was removed due to recent limb failures and subsidence damage. The job utilised climbing techniques with rigging and also a 20m MEWP, allowing all work to be completed efficiently and safely.

Small Site Clearance to end the year. The client will be developing the site in the new year, so we were tasked to remove a conifer hedge line and some large conifer trees. The site can now be accessed by large plant and HGV’s to allow the next phase of works, which will be demolition. Our Skidsteer made light work of the trees keeping us well within schedule for the client.

Another large Ash tree removed unfortunately due to severe dieback. A large limb had failed in high winds across the driveway not long after the client had left and drove underneath to take the kids to school!! This just shows the importance of having your Ash trees checked due to this very fast paced disease! Please don’t hesitate to contact us for any advice on your Ash trees.

Large Ash tree removed this week due to progressive Ash dieback and Honey fungus affecting the root system. The tree stood within a busy learning area for young children, so safety was very important.

Call out to a Large Oak limb failure last week. We also extracted some large timber for the client using our skidsteer with ground protection. This made sure the lawn was free from any damage.
