On 1st November 2013 we produced a product that would be replicated up and down the country. The BBL vegan lorne sausage celebrates its 10th birthday tomorrow.
We’re delighted to have played our part in this product being available all across Scotland.

I just want to let all my customers know, I’m going to shut the shop tomorrow and Sunday (2/9 & 3/9) to let all my staff have a well earned break after the festival.
They have all been absolutely amazing and I can’t thank them enough for the support they have given me throughout July and August.

It’s a very sad day today for all of us at bbl, our neighbours Laurence Smith & Son, who’ve been trading for over 100 years on the street have finally brought the curtain down on the business.
Duncan, Colin, Alistair and Kevin have been the kindest gentlemen and friends I could’ve wished for. Through the good times and bad times they’ve gave me nothing but support over the years.
Good luck for the future, it’s been an absolute blast.

Good morning, on our last day of trading of 2022, I just want to wish all my customers a very merry Christmas and happy New Year.
Once again the support you’ve given us during 2022 has been incredible.

Hi everyone,most of our customers will know I’ve been absolutely struggling to get staff over the last 6 months, we lost Kyanna in June and on Friday of this week I’m going to lose our wonderful Beth, who is in a pivotal year at university, she has been wonderful and an amazing asset to the shop over the last 2 years, we’re all devastated to lose her.

Going forward I’m going to be shutting the shop on a Tuesday to give Hannah and myself a day off.

Hi everyone,I just wanted to let all my vegan customers know asap, that due to massive delivery costs we will not be shipping our vegan Christmas products this year. I’ve just had the updated price sheet sent over from our courier and the P&P is still coming in at just over £15 for next day delivery.

We will however have our vegan Christmas boxes available on the website from the 1st of November to order and pick up from the shop, I’m delighted to tell you that the price remains exactly the same as last year £25 for the mini box and £50 for the family box.

The boxes normally sell out within a couple of hours of going live, but the deli unit will be stacked with all the Christmas vegan items from Monday 19th December.

Good morning all, over the last few months you’ve probably noticed our online shop hasn’t been available, this is due to the astronomical costs for shipping and packaging of the products.

We feel it is unrealistic to expect customers to pay £13 p&p for products weighing up to 2kg, up until May we tried to swallow as much of the cost as possible, keeping the shipping costs to £5, this isn’t viable moving forward.

I really hope over the coming months things improve, I’m really sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

The last few weeks we’ve had really fragmented opening hours due to staff summer holidays including my own, next week will see the end of all our holidays. I’m going to shut on Tuesday 5th, Wednesday 6th and Thursday 7th and reopen on Friday 8th.

I can’t believe today is our daughter Kyanna White’s last ever day in the shop, she is onto pastures new on Monday.
After seven years of university she starts her new career on Monday as a trainee solicitor, we are so proud of you darling.

As the clock ticks down on our daughters time in the shop, having worked here since she was 14 years old.She will be leaving us soon to pursue her dream of becoming a lawyer having just completed her university education.
