Update on TBC Improv Workshops: we had sadly decided to cancel the Spring Term 2020 due to the current pandemic. We’re not sure when classes will resume but will let everyone know when we are able to. Until then, stay safe and support each other.
Due to unforeseen circumstances we have had to postpone the auditions planned for January and reschedule them for March. The new audition dates will now be *Wednesday 11th March* and *Sunday 15th March*. We will be contacting those who have already in touch to reschedule and will keep open applications until March.
TBC Improv would like to offer our sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused, and we look forward to meeting all the candidates in March!
Auditions for Performers!
Edinburgh improv comedy theatre company TBC Improv (www.tbcimprov.co.uk) are looking for new performers to join their established company.
TBC Improv are looking for performers with a strong improvisation - or similar performance - background who are keen to be part of the flourishing improv comedy scene in Scotland. As a member of TBC, performers will have the opportunity to develop their improv skills, play and perform regularly with highly skilled performers, and have direct input to shows, workshops and further company activity. This is a fantastic opportunity for any actors wishing to improve and explore their improv skills, as well as regular opportunities for Scottish-based improvisers, including taking part in Edfringe 2020. All performances are paid.
Joining the group will involve attending regular workshop rehearsals, to be arranged around availability, so that new members can develop alongside existing company members, and everyone can play and skill-share together.
Workshop auditions will be held in Edinburgh on Wednesday 11th (7:30 - 9:30pm) and Sunday 15th March (2 - 4pm), with callbacks the following week.
To apply, please email [email protected] with the following:
Headshot and performance CV (if you have them)
Preferred audition date - 11th or 15th March
Covering letter outlining: your improv and performance experience; your interest in joining TBC Improv and your performance goals for the future; what skills and qualities you think you could bring to the company.

Lindsay Gonzales ("M.P.H.: A Comedy Compendium”, "Dance, Monkey!”, ImprovBoston shows “Family Show”, “The Open Comedy Jam”, “Nightcap”) will be teaching a two improv theatre classes in Edinburgh this September through TBC Improv, including her unique class Terpsichore - All Female Identifying Physical Theater Production. The class focuses on teaching students the “Terpsichore”, which Lindsay describes as:
“an improvised storytelling theatre piece in movement, dance, music and spoken word. The format is simple enough and focuses on actors breaking the 4th wall to tell captivating tales supported by their cast who operate as one entity like a Greek chorus to support the action of the story. Through dance, movement, co-creation and support, the cast weaves narratives that transport the audience to different times and places and blend fiction and non-fiction together in a heady phamtasmagoria of sound, movement and speech.”.
A highly accomplished performer and teacher, TBC Improv are thrilled to welcome Lindsay to Edinburgh this September. Be sure to book early for this unique class.
