An attractive and decorative pair of silver plated grape scissors dating from the early 20th century. The handles are double struck with leaf fronds on the back and front. There is also floral decoration on the pin holding the handles. Eminently useful! £25

A mid-Victorian rosewood veneered footstool. The floral needlework covers a horsehair interior, commensurate with age (some losses) but still retaining good colour. The foot pad is removable and rotates. £45
A retro Picquot Ware 1950s cream (or milk) jug and two handled sugar basin. Made of magnalium and produced in Northampton under Burrage & Boyde. The modernist design has a polished exterior and brushed interior. Good condition. £25
An Edinburgh Academy rugby cap for the 1945-46 season - an evocative set of dates at the conclusion of WW2. Beautifully constructed in velvet with embroidery work, border detailing, silk lining and finished with a tassel. Retailed by J.C. Smith Limited of Edinburgh and St Andrews. Formerly tailors and University Outfitters at 91 Lothian Road they were still extant in 1964. They also provided tweed suits for Academy boys. Cap size approximately 7 (medium). Excellent condition. £75.

An early 19th century French Empire hand painted Halley (Paris) porcelain vase with gilded decoration, applied winged cherubs and raised tripartite gilded base with single-clawed griffins. The bucolic scene shows a shepherd and canine companion with goat and sheep, a girl with a basket and a woman cradling an infant - all placed in a rolling Arcadian landscape. Engraved with a swirling c-scroll design and of typical shape, EPNS with bone handles. Dating from the late 19th century. £60
Rare c1840 set of six Staffordshire ironstone flow blue and white plates designed by Samuel Alcock & Co (Corbridge and Burselm 1828-1860). Carlton pattern mark to the reverse. Flow blue refers to the effect of intentionally allowing the blue to ‘flow’ into the glaze to create a blurred design. Perfect for dessert, cheese or side plates. £90
