Pat Renson Interiors - interior design Pat Renson is an interior designer based in Auchterarder close to Gleneagles resort.
Pats work has been featured extensively in magazines throughout the years - Country Homes and Interiors, Scottish Field, Homes and Interiors Scotland, 25 Beautiful Homes to name a few. With an attention to detail, customer service and a friendly helpful team Pat can bring to reality the clients dream home within budget and timescale. We work closely with our workshops producing high end finishings for curtains and upholstery and our library of books is comprehensive and up to the minute.
We’re beyond excited to see the Braids View project featured in the Nov/Dec issue of Homes and Interiors Scotland! This journey was all about honouring our client’s vision: cool, tonal, and with a strong, masculine edge with layers of textures—think linens, soft leathers, and earthy tones that bring warmth without overpowering.
Huge thanks to everyone who made this happen! Grab a copy and take a look.👀
We are excited to announce that we have launched a new project on our website today.
The brief was to create a modern classic-style home with hints of rustic finishes. The interior should form a home with comfort and detail at the forefront, with considered pieces to match contemporary artwork and reflect the owner's taste.

What better way to elevate your curtains than by using tiebacks and trims?
Swipe left to see the Stately Home project's stunning tieback and trim selection.
It's the tiny touches that make all the difference in creating a cohesive space. We've paired the centre trim with a navy fringe, harmonising with the colourway used throughout the bedroom.
We love to add a hint of texture and pattern through accessories. This scheme was put together for a beautiful holiday home, the owner wanted to spruce up the rooms for their guests to enjoy a relaxing stay.
On Wednesdays, we love a hint of pink! We used Onyx tiles to create a stunning feature wall in this family bathroom.
We were presented with a challenge when our client requested a design for four rooms within a short three-week time frame. However, we decided to rise to the occasion and take on the task! We created a room design that is not only stunning but also invokes a sense of calmness with its neutral colour palette.
The billiard table.
Complete with stunning wood panelling and autumnal colours scheme, this luxurious game room is perfect for cosy nights in or entertaining guests. Designed by our talented team at Pat Renson Interiors, get ready to cue up and have a ball in style!
A bold pop of colour and minimalistic accessories allow the headboard to take centre stage—a perfect scheme for the guest room in a recently designed holiday home.

Welcome to the meeting room, where classic antiques and the beauty of the countryside blend seamlessly.
The equestrian painting, with an ornate back frame featuring gilded accents, perfectly complements the wallcovering and the hand painted with rich Chinoiserie landscape sideboard.
The wallcovering itself boasts an abstract forest design, creating a stunning ombré effect in horizontal rows. The background of the painting and the wallcovering blend harmoniously, resulting in a beautiful fusion of art and design
Taking a moment to appreciate the beautiful soft furnishings in the library. The sofa and footstool are made from a deep velvet pile fabric, and plaids used to add touches of Scottish influence. The bespoke Parisian style rug adds elegance and refinement.
The meticulous attention to detail truly sets this room apart, making it our absolute favourite!
We love the open layout of this space, creating an expansive view through the large sliding doors out to the garden - the subtle warm tones used in the interior invite the seasonally changing colours of nature inside.

Last week we celebrated the opening of the newly refurbished restaurant in Bridge of Allan and what a lovely evening it was!
The restaurant was designed by our team at Pat Reason interiors and we love how it turned out.
We are wishing Nick and Julia every success with the opening and will be cheering them all on from Edinburgh x
Luxurious textiles and small details are perfect for bringing everything together and creating little pockets of ‘wow’ in a space. Here, cream walls and neutrals are grounded by the warming tones of that wonderfully rustic orange cushion, taupe fabric curtains, and rather stunning leather tiebacks - as we love to say, it’s all in the detail!
When you’re working with a space that’s already making a statement - in this case, that sensational wood-panelling - you’re looking to ‘gently’ embellish it in ways that complement without being distracting. What better way to do just that in this entrance hall than adding furniture to bring out the tones in that beautiful wood, pairing it with luxurious wool fabric stools, and finishing it off with a delicate antique-look lantern to cast a warm and welcoming glow? What do you think - a bit special, right?
The GWCT Scottish Game Fair – The GWCT Scottish Game Fair There’s a packed country pursuits programme at the GWCT Scottish Game Fair from fishing to shooting, archery to falconry. There’s something for everyone, including a chance to “have a go” even if you’ve never tried it before!
Come on, guys - if you don’t want to throw yourself on this bed for some luxurious downtime, you’ve not worked hard enough this week!
Here’s a space we wanted to keep as light, modern, and functional as possible, and for this bedroom, simple and understated was the name of the game … These fabulous beams and plasterwork speak for themselves - we didn’t want to gild the lily, so the simple, uber-elegant lighting, well-placed mirror, and neutral-tone soft-furnishings were all we needed to stay sympathetic to the existing space … The result - we hope! - is a calm, inviting retreat from the grind of daily life - just what our client was after!
Is there anything more satisfying at this time of year than sitting outside with friends and making the most of the great weather? Not in our book there’s not!
This delightful little rooftop space needed just a few small touches to bring it to life and make it the perfect spot for small get-togethers, al-fresco dining, and relaxation … Too much detail in a small space like this and you can end up with something that’s more distracting than delightful, so we aimed for less-is-more, and brought a bit of nature in with the neutral, textured seating, a perfectly-placed plant and a couple of contemporary lanterns - then let nature do the rest …
Indoors, the rather wonderful modern wall print adds a splash of character and a pop of colour and fun … all very reminiscent of sun, sea, and summer holidays!
Nick Nairn’s new Bridge of Allan restaurant announces opening date | Scotsman Food and Drink Scottish chef, writer and broadcaster Nick Nairn, together with his wife Julia, will open a brand-new restaurant, Nairn’s, in Bridge of Allan, Stirlingshire ...
There’s nothing like a crystal chandelier to bring a touch of classic glamour to a space … and when you add a few carefully curated pieces of antique art to the walls, you create a real sense of time-travel! It's the magic of unique and treasured objects like these that can really breathe new life into our surroundings, infusing them with meaning and history - the secret ingredients that make our spaces truly come alive!
More Mallorcan magic to wind down the week … this dining space may just be one my favourites - understated yet choc full of personality!
Adding pops of colour to a natural palette is always a quick, easy, and very effective way to bring a blank canvas to life … we kept to the Morrocan ambiance with these fabulous textiles, but honestly, we think it’s that wonderfully rustic table and unusual old-skool chairs that really add character to the space … so inviting and homely! What do you reckon - could you see yourself gathering around here with family and friends for summer lunch and a carafe or two? Thought so!
And now for something a little different!
How about this beautiful Mallorcan townhouse bathroom for a touch of contemporary-meets-traditional? When you’re working with limited space and light, less really is more … This small space doesn’t get much natural light, but the plaster walls, exposed beams, strategically placed mirrors, and metallic fixtures ensured that when it all came together, the entire room lit up like magic … What do you think? Have to admit, I fell a little in love with that natural-look shelf space - and that perfect little sink!
