On Thursday, the 12th of September at 8pm, we are holding a Charity Quiz at The Windsor in honour of our late friend Les Stewart, more widely known in the community as Eric Scarboro.

Eric was a comedian, poet, host for many a pub quiz, and especially a wonderful and friendly bloke who dedicated his time to charity work. He loved to arrive to us at The Windsor on a Thursday night after his own Quiz at the Strathmore Bar to catch the final few rounds of Charley's quiz, who he referred to as 'Alan Shearer', and rarely missed a week. He will be sorely missed by us all here, especially on a Thursday night.

All donations and proceeds will go directly to UNICEF UK Ukraine Appeal 🇺🇦 as chosen by his loving wife, Sylvia. There will be a range of prizes, both raffle and leaderboard. Since Eric was one of the biggest Sunderland F.C fans we knew, we would like to make the theme for the evening to dress in ❤️Red and/or White🤍. Team sizes will be restricted to 6 people. This event is expected to be extremely busy, and we have limited tables available, so to ensure your team has a table, book in with us via our Instagram DM's. We hope to see you there!

This week on The Windsor Pups, we have our resident Princess, Isla🐶
Isla has been a regular furry face in The Windsor for some time now, and has easily became everyone's favourite four-legged friend from behind the bar and in front. When we hear the news that Isla and her friend Duncan as company are on their way, everyone spends the next 10 mins watching the door for her arrival. Isla loves to come and give a hug to everyone when she comes into the pub, especially Charley, when he has treats!💚
Come in some time with your little furry friend. We'd love to meet them!🐕❣️

Today's Windsor Pup is Ruby❣️🐶

Ruby helped Jude on her last night here at The Windsor bringing a smile to her and everyone else in the bar by being the most hyperactive individual at 11.30pm. We think the treats had something to do with it...🐕

We'd also like to take this opportunity to thank Jude for her time here at the Windsor as AGM and everything she has done for us, staff and patrons alike. Whether it was the musical acts you heard on a Fri + Sat, the brilliant drinks that was served, or ensuring everyone in The Windsor had a smile and made it feel like a 2nd home. The difference between Shoji and Charley is one has gorgeous hair and is 5ft 8 standing, and the other supports Derry City F.C.!🐕❤️🤍
