We are thrilled to welcome Gavin Strachan, collector of textiles from eastern Europe, Turkey and Scandinavia to be our Sunday speaker, 10th November for this year's World Textiles Weekend. Don’t miss it! Gavin will also bring a variety of Balkan textiles from his personal collection, adding Eastern Europe to The Nomads Tent’s global portfolio.
Gavin is also the editor of the world class Oxford Asian Textiles Group, a must read for textile lovers, read his article 'Women behind the weave' in the Autumn 2024 edition.

Using traditional designs but with a modern aesthetic, it is woven by the Hazara tribe in central and Northern Afghanistan in the Bamyan and Kabul provinces.
