Community Suppers are restarting today after the summer break! As usual, we're waiting for you on the 3rd Monday of each month. 🥗🍞🍎

Come join us later today: arrivals and set up from 6pm, we sit down to eat at 7. We finish around 8:30.

This will also be a chance to get a good overview of what's coming in this autumn/winter edition of the community programme - we'll have a lot of community facilitators coming! ✨

It's a collection of connections, between people and place – captured in photographs and poems, documenting different ways people engage with the centre. 🤝

The exhibition is open to visitors at The Salisbury Centre, every Wednesday between 2 and 5pm, and Friday between 2 and 4pm. Just drop in during those times and be greeted by Louise! 👋

Our weekly Gardening and DIY volunteering day has changed! Weekly Gardening and DIY volunteering has moved to Sundays 11:00-16:00. If you are interested in coming along you can drop in or email Gray on [email protected].

Join experienced seed grower and Salisbury Centre seed librarian Hannah Brazil in this informal hands-on workshop introducing the basics of urban seed saving on Friday 9th August 14:00-16:00.

We will be hosting a seed and seedling swap in collaboration with so bring some plants to swap, or just some money to donate and free arms to carry!

Monica De Ioanni will be offering a somatic movement workshop entitled 'Embodied Ecology' at 3:30pm. Open to all!

Finally, our long-time volunteer Geetam will be making one of his wonderful labyrinths again this year for mindful movement and fun for people of all ages.

For mothers and babies to share their motherhood experience safely in a compassionate and non judgemental way, and to be part of a collective healing experience ☺️🤱

Drop in between 3 - 5pm to take part in our second part of Sewing Together the Salisbury Centre (details in post). All welcome!

Learn how to make glorious compost!

Come to the Salisbury Centre this Friday June 7th at 12pm to get a hands-on workshop from our Garden and DIY Facilitator Gray in making the perfect organic compost.

You will learn about what goes into compost and the magic ratio. You will get a chance to make it yourself in our garden and you will get a compost recipe guide to take home with you.

This event is by donation. Suggested donation: £5. Donations can be paid by cash or card on the day.

Or, come help out in the garden on the day!

If you want to volunteer in our garden, you can come from 11am - 4pm.

Join us as we celebrate the full moon on the 22nd of May.

Our Full Moon Circles will provide an opportunity to come together to connect with and celebrate nature’s cycles and the seasons, as well as a chance to reflect on our own lives.

With each moon we will consider different energies and themes. This cycle, we are celebrating the Flower Moon. This is a native American name that celebrates the flowers bursting into life this month.

This is a community event so you can book to come for free, but please reserve a space on the Salisbury Centre website (link in bio).

What we will do

At this family-friendly event, you will be invited to write any wishes you have for the coming season on the ribbons before tying them to a tree in the garden. At Lammas, you will be invited back to take down your ribbon and reflect on the passing season. Other activities will include:

An acoustic jam around the fire – bring along your instruments!
Face-painting
Tarot reading
Daisy chain jewellery

Activities start at 5pm. From 7pm, we will be holding a ceremony around the fire.

The event will close around 8pm.

As a community event, we encourage you to bring something to share in the form of vegetarian food, circus equipment, and instruments! Do you also have any lawn games you might want to run? Keen to help cook up a pot of soup for fellow community members? Get in touch with [email protected].

I give thanks for the opportunity of living in these unique times, for the opportunity of always working my way back to gratitude, and practice the art of letting go of expectation and trust in something bigger than the mind. I share a prayer of gratitude for all the beautiful souls who shared their gifts at this evening fire in Roslyn, under the sacred yew trees (to which we sang the yew song!- thank-yew!! ) ..I dedicate a prayer to the courage that it takes to share our own gifts,songs, poems, creativity, vulnerability,own truth, in front over a circle of people ….it is difficult in todays world of judgement to express one’s own truth , without falling in safer conformism,… to find safe spaces where whatever you bring is welcome, perfectly imperfect as it should be! And be celebrated as such by the receivers, not for the final product but for the whole essence of the journey that led you to be here, now, taking space to share something and adding your unique truth to the shared , ever evolving Truth. Also giving thanks for the diversity we shared tonight. From Brazilian songs in Portuguese, Italian songs, Brittany songs in French, Irish Trad tunes, Hindu mantras, Spanish classics, songs from Norway and Norse lullabies…. #what a richness in diversity and in celebrating that diversity as gold, not as an obstacle but as a bridge toward an enriched port in which to land and discover an extended magnificent version of our own selves through others.
