We are extremely excited and proud to announce FURTHER X DJ Bone’s Homeless Homies Benefit Event during ADE 2021 at RADION Amsterdam.

ALL proceeds from this year’s event will be donated to HOMELESS HOMIES and our homeless shelter partners in Amsterdam.

For this year, DJ Bone and Homeless Homies’ charity is focused on LGBTQIA+ youth shelters. Having two daughters who identify as LGBTQIA+, we are aware that LGBTQ youth have an especially high risk for homelessness due to unaccepting families, life trajectories, runaways, children who age-out of foster care. Between 20% and 40% of all homeless youth identify as LGBTQ.

DJ Bone and 31 of his friends, will unite for this very worthy cause.

Can’t believe I’m posting this - I have made a contribution to the legendary Essential Mix series. My teenage self is in disbelief 😱 I grew up on these!!

I recorded it just as everything in Uk/Europe is opening up again and I let that energy inspire me, the energy of playing or dancing to a prime time set in a dark sweaty club or packed festival we were all craving so much for absolute aeons, so fully expect a “BAWS OOT” mix - plenty old vinyl, plenty new/unreleased stuff and plenty bangers

I was asked to make one last year and I chose to cancel it (some thought I was crazy for this) due to caring for a sick family member who was in and out of hospital, I thought BBC wouldn’t ask me again but they did and I’m extremely grateful for that. This time round wasn’t any easier, I got seriously sick (thought I had covid but was just a mutant flu) whilst trying to make it, I got stuck in France after a gig which wasted more time to make it, then I deleted half of it by accident n had to record it again and it was already over the deadline 😆 so it’s not the polished sparkly studio essential mix I envisioned I’d make but I enjoyed it nonetheless and you have to make the most of your surroundings - it was recorded in my dad’s wee flat in Leith on 2xcdjs, 2x wobbly turntables and a mixer

Still feels strange posting stuff like this!! I’ve only ever played a couple all night long shows and it’s something I’ve wanted to explore more, can’t express how grateful I am to experience them with you. I’ve been djing over 20 years now and getting to play records I don’t usually get to play out and share with you gives me utter joy, maybe play stuff people don’t typically know me for 🙃. Hope to see plenty friends and new faces at these shows 💚💚💚

Let me tell you how much I’ve missed London over lockdown and how much I’ve been itching to be back in a club properly. As much as I love all these cute outdoor day time events and festivals…get me back in a dark sweaty club until the early hours of the morning PRONTO. It’s a huge privilege to play an all night long set for you and share all these records I haven’t been able to play out for sooooo long 💚💚💚
