Good afternoon you lovely people. As we fast approach 'proper' summer*, there's a lot happening in the TR.

The big game tomorrow is the major Manchester City/United derby in the shape of the FA Cup Final, KO at 3pm. Half time nachos anyone?

Prior to that, we have, Jason Kyrone, one of our regular musicians on duty at 10pm tonight and after the footy tomorrow at the same time.

Hi peeps, unless you live under a rock (or aren't a football fan), you'll be aware that the kicks off on the 14th June. Pleasingly (or maybe worryingly) the first game in the tournament is Germany vs Scotland, 8pm k.o. We'll likely be showing the game. Loudly. On all four screens.

Plus, it's not too late to win tickets, just visit the TRB and either buy a can or or a glass of Coke Zero and scan the code on the posters that are dotted about the bar to enter. And you don't have to leave after the We serve lots of other things too.



We're hoping to show all the games but it may be worth booking a table for the three initial Scotland fixtures. And all going well with Steve Clarke's lads, hopefully there'll be games 4, 5 and 6. One can dream...

PS. I was at a party last year with a mate and he mentioned to someone that he'd got Euro tickets and she replied "I didn't know you were a Eurovision fan." 😁

Also, if you missed the Aurora Borealis last night (a surprising amount of people did), it's due to happen again around 10.30pm tonight (cloud cover permitting, but the weather bods are saying it should be a clear night). It should be viewable from outside the pub looking down Leith Walk. Unfortunately, you can't take drinks outside at that time but the old napkin on the glass trick will your keep your lovely beverage safe from the sink.
