We completed the full upgrade of this system with minimal disruption before the students were due to arrive!

With their new system they will massively reduce unwanted false alarms and sleep peacefully at night knowing the building is well protected.

Police have had reports of sheds/garages being broken into across Edinburgh. Please remain vigilant and review the security of your property. Key points for shed/garage security are:
• Use a good quality closed shackled padlock
• Fit coach bolts or anti tamper screws on shed hinges
• Install a stand-alone shed alarm
• Secure bikes within sheds/garages to a ground anchor or immovable object
• Review the lighting and fencing around your property
• Consider a garage defender

This story is absolutely terrifying for the homeowners. This is one of the reasons we connect so many of our CCTV systems to our remote monitoring station.

Using adanced analytics our cameras can detect unwanted intruders outside your home. When an alarm is raised, our remote monitoring station will review the footage and call police / keyholders to alert them of the situation whilst also playing audible announcements to warn off the intruders.

iFire were tasked with securing their new 2 story office and studios. Installing touchscreen Paxton intercom units and a monitored intruder alarm system we came up with a solution which would tie in to their wider portfolio of properties.

Work finally starts at this iconic school after years of delay due to covid. iFire were awarded the contract back in 2019 with installation due to take place in summer 2020. With covid kicking in and lockdowns happening it was clear the installation could not take place. We worked with Clifton Hall on a schedule to keep their existing system operational with view to installing this when suitable. Over 200 wireless devices being installed over 7 different buildings utilising the latest in commercial wireless fire alarm technology.

When we were approached by Balgreen Primary School to see if we would help contribute towards some costs of their P7 leavers book we only had one thing to say.. why not let us pay for the whole book? Here at iFire we love giving back to our local community and this was a no brainier to us!

When one of our national customers came to us with an issue, we manufactured this extension bracket to enable 2 additional cameras to be installed on our already existing CCTV pole to see a certain angle which wasn’t achievable from the it. 2x 8mp ultra HD cameras installed on the bracket with a wireless link back to the security office.

When people ask what makes us different, we look back to our roots. Started by family, built by family, and growth now with our extended family!

At 23:04 last night these 3 young men crossed the fence line into one of our monitored CCTV sites at AAA Coaches triggering the smart analytics on the camera. Within seconds our 24/7 manned monitoring station was alerted to the situation. Acting promptly they have informed keyholders and the police were alerted who both arrived on site within 10 minutes. Audio announcements were sent over the tannoy and this attempted theft was stopped.

With the way fuel prices are going we have seen a rise in break-ins to yards like this for diesel theft. CCTV systems like this not only gives you security throughout the night but also can be used as a great operational tool for day to day use!

We are delighted to announce that we have won the contract for the full upgrade of the fire alarm system at Summerhall in Edinburgh.

iFire have managed to design a complete commercial grade wireless solution to cover the 2.5acre building meaning minimal disruption for the customer and no cabling ruining the aesthetics of such a beautiful old building.

The system will comprise of 4 networked fire alarm panels and a mesh of over 50 expanders with more than 600 wireless devices connected to them, to give full coverage of the building.

Summerhall is an arts complex and events venue in Edinburgh, Scotland. Formerly home to the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies of the University of Edinburgh, it is now a major Edinburgh Festival Fringe visual and performing arts venue.
