About Page2Stage Edinburgh
Page2Stage Edinburgh is an exciting new writing night, hosted by Assembly Roxy produced by Michelle McKay and Hamish Wyllie.
Showcasing 4 new pieces of new writing performed as a rehearsed reading in front of an industry panel. We aim to build a community in Edinburgh for writers, directors and actors to work together and create new work and provide new networking opportunities. Edinburgh has a wealth of talent and we want to showcase that talent and provide a platform to do this.
We will put out call outs for writers to submit. We will then select 4 pieces and match these up with Directors. We will then put out a casting call and cast appropriately for each piece. Each ‘performance’ will be given 2-3 hours rehearsal in Assembly Roxy during the day, ready for a script ib-hand performance fro 7.30pm in front of an industry panel.
We will then head to the snug for a drink and a chance for everyone to carry on further discussions, meet the team, panel, writers, directors and actors in a relaxed environment.
