After the huge success of last year’s open day, we are delighted to offer another opportunity to visit Carlowrie to meet our team and Scotland’s finest wedding suppliers.
Normally by appointment only, this is a rare chance to experience the luxury castle and grounds, grab a glass of fizz, sample some of chef’s canapes, pick up a goodie bag from Harvey Nichols and mingle with our team and the cream of Scotland’s wedding talent.

Merry Christmas🎄🙏❤️ Expressing heartfelt gratitude to our wonderful customers for choosing Carlowrie for your special events.

Thank you also to all those who have helped with our this year, whether you donated funds, your time, services or just spread the word.

From humble beginnings during lockdown handing out hot rolls and drinks to those in need of a wee help in the morning has grown organically into a fantastic community. Tim Fidelo, who manages the Bothy and is very much on the frontline has established trust and created a safe and friendly place that has enabled many of our guests to go on and help others.

Pictured is Santa (James), a great Bothy regular, who has started a food share project distributing end of shelf-life goods from local shops, and last week about 8 dozen selection boxes – all wrapped by his friends at the Bothy – to people in need of help. Two more of our guests, Shawny and Ian, have recently set up a small recording studio behind the Bothy free for use in the community.

The Bothy has expanded to provide lunches as well as breakfasts. We have also started a token scheme whereby local businesses have agreed to provide services to our guests in exchange for a specially made token that can be collected from Tim, businesses then redeem that token at an agreed value from the charity.

We have the support of a barber, a laundrette and a cycle repair shop providing much needed services so far, and are always keen to speak to more potential partners. If you as an individual or a company would like to contribute in any way, be it services, donations or just time, please get in contact with us.
