A Burns supper is a celebration of the life and poetry of the poet Robert Burns (25 January 1759 – 21 July 1796), the author of many Scots poems. The suppers are normally held on or near the poet's birthday, 25 January, known as Burns Night (Scots: Burns Nicht; Scottish Gaelic: Oidhche na Taigeise;[1] also called Robert Burns Day or Rabbie Burns Day). However, in principle, celebrations may be held at any other time of the year. Burns suppers are held all around the world

Edinburgh looks a perfect picture now. Christmas has awaken with sparkle and light. Take time to stop and stare, and dream and wish. Its Christmas🎄😍🎅

St Mary's St has great artisan people So Thanks for this info
So many new friends so I thought I would introduce myself properly !
I'm Alison and I've been running my shop Psychomoda in Edinburgh Old Town for almost 30 years , after studying fashion design at uni and selling at market stalls for a few years.
In the shop I have a couture collection which is available off the peg or made to measure . I also have a constantly changing selection of one off pieces that I make from unusual bits and pieces, often recycled , that I find on my travels.
Along with some of my own knitwear , jewellery and soaps I have a small selection of vintage and second hand and occasionally I sell work from other small or fair trade makers.
I have a sustainable approach and try to maintain that throughout my work .
Apart from what you see in the shop I undertake made to measure and you can have whatever you want , made up to fit you perfectly.
People tend to come to me because they want something different, but I can also make classics. I will design to your specifications and it will fit you perfectly.
I look forward to getting to know you all through your likes and comments. Please feel free to message me with any questions you may have x
