Countryside Kitchens is a successful family-owned bespoke kitchen and interiors company founded in the Scottish Borders, in 1980.

Due to the growth of the business we are looking for a self-motivated individual to join our Edinburgh Morningside showroom team, on a permanent part time basis.

The successful applicant must have a passion for interiors, impeccable customer service skills including an excellent telephone manner, be able to confidently meet and greet customers, be self-motivated and happy to work on your own and a sales background would be advantageous. An element of IT skills is also required.

Bi-fold Dressers

Dressers with bi-fold doors allow our clients to have wide dresser tops without having large cumbersome doors. The doors fold in half and allow access to the dresser. This one was in a dining room to be used as a breakfast unit. The internals of these dressers can be customised to suit any design (within reason!!). Commonly made without a base to the dresser this gives full access to the worktop of choice. This one was solid walnut made in our Kelso workshop.

Lets talk pocket doors...

Pocket door units are becoming a more popular addition in our designs. Clients want to be able to shut away their work stations to give a a clean and sleek look when entertaining but have the practicality's of a working space. This was a great example we designed for a client in Edinburgh. 🧑‍🎨🧑‍🎨

This kitchen was designed to be a statement piece in a grand country home in Northumberland. With bespoke designed legs on the island it screams elegance. A raised breakfast bar area breaks up the back of the island.

Susie graduated with a degree in fashion technology and brings her 3D design skills to the business. Susie transforms the ideas, sketches and plans via CAD into working drawings and visuals, bringing your ideas to life. When she is not in the office Susie loves to travel, up into the Scottish Highlands or when possible somewhere warmer.

Our in house installation team recently started the installation of this beautiful kitchen in Berwickshire. We love the use of colour and can't wait to see how this room looks when it is complete.

Kelso workshop details.

Here are some snapshots of what our workshop team are working on this week. Our motto is "if we can draw it, we can make it", and that's exactly what we do. We often create bespoke doors, cornice and details for our clients and their projects.

You'll see many examples of different designs and finishes within our two Edinburgh showrooms. Our Morningside showroom is open Monday to Saturday 10-3, and our Inverleith showroom is open Tuesday to Saturday 10-3.

With an eye for design and technical detail, Elliot manages the production side of the business from our facility in Kelso. When he gets any spare time, Elliot, loves the rural lifestyle and sport.

Our in house installation team are starting the week with this beautiful utility room in Edinburgh. It features a bespoke beaded door design and doors with lattice details, as well as a hanging rail for drying and ironing.

Miele Chefs Table with the award-winning chef and Miele ambassador Mark Heirs

Last night the Countryside team and clients enjoyed an incredible chefs table event with renowned private chef Mark Heirs as part of the Miele Experience Centre within the St James Quarter. Mark and Joyce from Miele, were able to discuss the features and benefits of the appliances with the clients whilst also demonstrating how to achieve the best from your home cooking. Our clients left the evening with smiles on their faces, full stomachs and feeling confident with their choice of appliances.

We work closely with Miele to offer this experience for our clients. Thank you Mark, Joyce and Miele for a wonderful evening.

Bringing Countryside Kitchens to Dubai ✈️

We recently exported our first kitchen to Dubai to be installed later this summer. Our client wanted to bring a little bit of home to their new life in the sun. We can't wait to see how it looks when finished.
