Hey i'm Amy, I'll do my best to make your visit to the shop as welcoming as i can! I love painting, drawing, my 2 demon chihuahuas & anything Lord of the Rings related. (because it's the best trilogy of all time)
Excited to see the shop grow and meet all the lovely folk who want some work!

MEET THE ARTIST:

John is Head Artist/ Owner of Salt & Sauce, he has been tattooing professionally for 8 years in various shops around Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 He specialises in Blackwork/Dotwork, American Traditional and Black and Grey Realism.

He is continually trying to push his work to the limit by combining his skills and styles to create his own unique mark on the industry!

In his spare time John spends it with his Doberman & animal friends eating wings, creating art and wandering around like a lost puppy 🐶
Bad habits are he will drop anything to pet or cuddle a dog. He’s also a grumpy old man in a young lads body!

Free consultations will also be available with a chosen artist to go over your design and make sure you’re comfortable and happy before moving forward. 🙂

Just a reminder that appointments are only secured once a deposit has been paid and are only refundable if we are given 48 hours notice before your session! We got bills to pay too unfortunately 😬

It’s been a long few months getting the studio to where it is now, early mornings and late nights! Painted faces, ruined jackets and some sheer determination.. However, we soldiered through and we really can’t wait to show you how far it’s came!

We’re happy to say we will be open from the 20th of December and will be taking bookings from the 17th! So get your thinking caps on and save the date!

When one book closes another chapter opens. We would like to thank everyone that has come through Shorthope Street Tattoo’s door. We can’t thank you lovely guys and girls enough for all the support over the past 3 years. As many of you know already, we are closing as of August the 31st and will be moving across the river Esk to Fisherrow High Street. We will be looking to open the new shop around early October 2021 !!! We can’t wait to welcome you all to our new property. Our Tattoo family has grown and now we need more space to operate and meet all your needs. We look forward to seeing you all soon and will keep you posted will the progress of the new shop. John will still be operating and tattooing from another shop during September so if you are one of John’s regular clients don’t worry; you will still be tattooed in-between the move.
