Do you love meeting people and giving recommendations about Edinburgh?

We are looking to build a small team of people to meet guests arriving in our clients' properties across Edinburgh.

You'll need to be friendly, organised and know your way around how heating works, how to work various TVs and have some great restaurant and cafe recommendations for the guests (we can help with these!)

Each meet and greet should take a maximum of 30 mins. Which will include arriving at the property 5-10 mins early. Quickly checking it and fixing any issues. Meeting the guests and taking them into the apartment and showing them around. And then leaving them to it.

Arrivals are between 3pm and 10pm. Some days are busier than others, and you'll know in advance the guests arrival time.

Great day for Scotland at the Rugby 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏉. Now a busy couple of days for our team to clean the apartments ready for the next guests. Sundays laundry bags prepped are ready!

Save the Self-Catering Sector in Scotland Originally from Edinburgh, Ralph has operated self-catering units in the heart of the city since 2005. A father to two teenagers, he lives in East Lothian.

It's a Rugby Autumn International weekend this weekend and all the properties we clean are full... That's around 500+ visitors.

So those 500+ guests next year will all have to compete with the already fully booked hotels...

Hotel Prices are already really high for the time of year... so next year ???

And if fewer people visit, there are fewer ticket sales, fewer people in stadium, less atmosphere, teams less likely to want to come to Edinburgh, as will favour the atmospheres in Dublin, Cardiff, London... And the there's the reduced income to Scottish Rugby, standards slip, grassroots gets less funding..

So this legislation is not only destroying our clients businesses, our business but Scottish Rugby too.

Edinburgh Festival: Biggest arts festival in the world begins Thousands of performers from across the world descend on Edinburgh to put on more than 3,000 shows.

As we enter the busiest of time of the year, we do it with mixed emotions. We are the busiest we have ever been, looking after the cleaning for over 150 apartments through the month but will this be the last year of the fringe festival as we know it?

Can you imagine an without self-catering apartments for the performers, the marketing and media, and of course the audience?

Our guests stay in self catering apartments because a 1 bedroom in a hotel for 2 people is averaging at over £600 a night (and that's the first weekend, not the last which will probably be double.)

Are you looking for full or part time work over the summer? We are hiring cleaners/housekeepers to join our excellent team across Edinburgh and East Lothian.

You don't even need to have previous cleaning/housekeeping experience. All you need is a hard working, positive mentality, with an eye for detail. We will teach you how to make a bed like a pro, how to clean a bathroom to shine the taps and keep the mould away. We'll show you how to prepare the kitchen so that everything is sparkling and ready for the new guests. You'll build pride in your work and feel satisfied by the great reviews you get from guests and the way you leave the flat looking so wonderful.

We are looking to add to our team of excellent housekeepers to keep all our apartments clean, neat and ready for guests to enjoy.

We have a variety of shift patterns available and can accommodate full or part time work; we have opportunities for just weekend work; only week day work or a mixture of both; lots of hours, or only a few hours; certain days and not others. We can create the flexible role you need! Work is generally between 10am and 4pm, however sometimes we can start a bit earlier or continue later.

This role will suit someone with some previous housekeeping/cleaning skills, who knows how to make a bed using hospital corners, who knows how to scrub oven shelves to get them sparkling and how to clean a bathroom properly ready for new guests. If you don't know all those things, you can still apply, as long as you are keen and willing to learn and take great pride in your work and getting it right.

Each day you'll clean 2 - 3 apartments a day depending on their size and locations, and you'll do everything in that clean - strip and make beds, dust & hoover, clean bathrooms top to bottom, clean kitchens, including glasses, cutlery, ovens, microwaves and fridges. You'll check for damages, and report anything you've found. You'll make sure the heating control is turned down and you'll leave the property looking sparkling and ready for a holiday maker to come and relax into their holiday.

Everyone wants some time away after the last year, and we need to make sure when they come to stay with us, everything is as it should be, all supplies are topped up, everything is clean and welcoming.

The company:

Landlords' Little Helper is an Edinburgh based company that provides holiday let cleaning services to landlords who rent their flats out for short stays through Airbnb or any of the other online platforms. Our job is to ensure the flats are clean and tidy for the arrival of each new guest.

The role:

Arrive at properties after the guests have checked out and make sure there are no damages, maintenance problems etc.

Check the keys have been left behind by the guests, and return them to the correct place.

Remove all rubbish, left food from the fridge and cupboards etc.

Strip the beds and make up with the clean linen. Bag up the dirty linen and towels ready for collection.

Thoroughly clean the property.

Top up any guest items like tea, coffee, toilet paper etc.

Ensure property is beautifully presented and ready to receive the next guests.

Report you have completed your clean and move onto your next clean.

Properties are throughout Edinburgh so you will build a good knowledge of locations, bus routes around town and the best way to get from A to B!

The benefits:

You will receive excellent training to see how we make sure the apartments are ready for guests.

You will work as part of a team, having responsilbity for your own work, but also working together to resolve any problems.

You will receive a travel allowance as well as you hourly pay. Hourly pay is based on national living wage of £9 for 23 year olds and over, £8.50 for under 23 year olds.

This position is for 16 hours a week across 5 days. Work is on a rota basis and some weekend work will be required. Hours are generally between 10am and 4pm.

You will need to provide a CV, along with 2 work or study references.

We will carry out phone and face to face interviews.

If successful at interview you will be asked to complete a basic disclosure for which you will be refunded.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Salary: Up to £9.00 per hour
