Newhaven connections

Well I think it's going to be an emotional day! So very thankful for this lovely cafe which has been my wonderful workplace for the last 5 1/2 years. And really overwhelmed by the generous words and gifts from staff, volunteers and customers as I pass the Manager's baton (or should that be rolling pin?!) to Bea Green. It's been a joy and a privilege to serve and know you all. Have a Happy Easter and I'll see you soon...on the other side of the counter! Xx

This wooden magazine rack was 'donated'/abandoned on our path earlier this week. It's in decent condition so if you would like it please come and collect it today, otherwise it will be disposed of.

Excited to have Rachel's Woodland Wreaths back at the cafe on Wednesday this week. Beautiful, sustainable, and each one unique - what more could you want?

From pigs under blankets to mincemeat tarts, we've got festive flavours galore on the menu this week! And we're hosting pop-up Christmas stalls on Tuesday (hand made bags and Christmas stockings) AND Wednesday (more bags, fresh Christmas wreaths, candle rings, and hand made jewellery). Come on in for the food, or the shopping, or both!! 🎅🎄

We're loving having a fabulous pop-up Christmas shop at the cafe this week, brought to us by our friends at Duke Street Church. Don't miss out on the chance to start your Christmas shopping...last day of the pop-up is tomorrow!

Homemade meringues - gluten free and gorgeous! Or if savoury is your thing, pop in this week to try our autumn Special: caramelised onion, camembert and apple tart...light as a feather and super tasty.

Glad to report our wifi is up and running again, so we will be able to accept card payments again from tomorrow. Hurrah!! Apologies for any inconvenience this afternoon.

The cafe will be taking a summer break, closing at 3pm on Thursday 8th June and reopening at 10am on Tuesday 11th July. We'll miss you!

We're looking forward to welcoming Edinburgh artist Catherine Mackie to the cafe next week with an exhibition of her work to browse or buy. Catherine will be here in person on Wednesday 15th and the exhibition will also be available to view on Thursday 16th.
