It's been a really busy week at Souled Out Holistic Centre
Beeswax tea lights and pumpkin candles have sold out. There are a few medium and small rolled candles left.
Crystal bracelets have sold out.
I'll hopefully be able to restock tealights and bracelets by the end of next week.
There is still plenty of honey available at the moment.

I'm still in the Salon mooching, tidying and getting ready for those Crazy Crones to come in tomorrow, so if the lights are on and you want to pick up honey please knock the door.

Morning fans
Today I’m teaching tarot! I love doing this! I don’t run a course, it’s a 1:1 session as I feel you can really get into the cards properly working with an individual as opposed to a group. This is a 3 hour session.. and then you go off and do the study and put in the work, I set you off with basic knowledge and how to information..
i charge £50 for the 3 hour session and if you are interested in having a go, I have availability throughout November and December ( a kind of cool Christmas present for someone too!) ❤️

The reasons i bang on about using cuticle oil daily are ........
1. Moisturisation: Cuticle oil helps to hydrate and nourish the proximal nail fold and the surrounding skin. This prevents the area from becoming dry, brittle, and prone to cracking, which can lead to painful hangnails.
2. Nail Growth: A healthy nail fold and surrounding skin can contribute to nail growth. By keeping the skin around the nail moisturised, cuticle oil can help promote good nail growth.
3. Protection: Cuticle oil acts as a barrier against external elements such as harsh weather conditions, frequent handwashing, and exposure to cleaning chemicals, which can all strip moisture from the skin on your hands, fingers and nails. This can cause premature lifting of nail products.
Put gloves on when washing up or cleaning to protect your nails!
4. Improved Appearance: Regular use of cuticle oil can enhance the overall appearance of your nails.
5. If you have alot of excess skin around your proximal nail fold and alot of dead skin (cuticle) on your nail plate, cuticle oil will soften this and make it easier for your nail technician to remove, giving you a cleaner looking manicure/nail service.
Applying cuticle oil as part of your daily beauty routine can contribute significantly to the health and appearance of your nails and hands, I promise you will see the difference with regular use.

Natural Sugar Content: Honey contains natural sugars, which can promote insulin production. Increased insulin can help amino acids (including L-tryptophan) enter the brain more effectively. This increase in L-tryptophan may lead to higher serotonin levels, which convert to melatonin, a hormone that regulates your sleep-wake cycles.
Glycogen Reserves: Honey can provide a steady supply of glycogen, which is stored in the liver and released during the night. This can help to maintain blood sugar levels and prevent night awakenings due to drops in blood sugar.
Relaxation: The sweet taste of honey can promote feelings of comfort and may have a soothing effect, contributing to a calming bedtime routine when consumed in a warm beverage, like herbal tea or warm milk.
my favorite is hot chocolate made with, cocoa, hot milk of your choice, a teaspoon of local honey a sprinkle of cinnamon and a star anise pod.
Antioxidant Properties: Honey is rich in antioxidants, which can help reduce inflammation and oxidative stress in the body, potentially supporting overall health and better sleep quality.
While honey may have beneficial effects, it’s best consumed in moderation as part of a balanced diet. Please keep in mind that individual responses can vary, so it's always a good idea to pay attention to how your body reacts. If you have persistent sleep issues, talk to a healthcare professional.

Labels finally arrived yesterday 🙌
Asum Honey, made from flowers, by bees, will be available to buy in the Souled Out shop from this evening.
The jars are 1lb in weight, 454g or just over, and cost £8.00.

Apple Cider Vinegar.
Some of you have asked me if apple cider vinegar has health benefits and is there evidence for this?
I use it at home for making salad dressings, preserving and every where else you would use malt vinegar.
There has not been extensive research into its benefits that I am aware of but, I'm happy to be corrected 😊
Apple cider vinegar lets call it (ACV) so i dont have to keep typing it 👍has been touted for various health benefits, some of which have limited scientific support. Here are some commonly mentioned benefits along with evidence:
1. **Weight Loss**: Some studies suggest that vinegar, including ACV, may help promote weight loss by increasing feelings of fullness and reducing calorie intake. However, more extensive research is needed to confirm these effects.
2. **Blood Sugar Control**: Research indicates that ACV may help lower blood sugar levels after meals and improve insulin sensitivity in individuals with insulin resistance. Some studies have shown that vinegar can reduce blood glucose spikes.
3. **Digestive Health**: ACV is often claimed to improve digestion and gut health, potentially due to its probiotic content if it's unfiltered. However, scientific evidence supporting these claims is limited.
4. **Heart Health**: Some limited human studies suggest that ACV may help lower cholesterol levels and blood pressure, which can benefit heart health, but further research is needed.
5. **Antimicrobial Properties**: ACV has been known to have antimicrobial properties and may help in food preservation. Some studies have shown that it can inhibit the growth of certain bacteria and pathogens.
While there are some promising results, it's essential to note that many of the studies on ACV have been carried out on small sample sizes of people. While there are potential benefits, more extensive research is necessary to confirm these effects definitively.
Always consult with a healthcare professional before making significant changes to your diet or health routines, and always dilute before you drink. (1 tablespoon of ACV in a glass of water)

Just a quick update.
Honey, and bees wax candles 🍯 🕯 will be available in the shop again by the end of next week, we are awaiting some labels for the honey jars and will be spending tomorrow and the weekend weighing out and pouring honey into jars.
The boys have decided to keep using the 1lb jars yay! But are deciding on a price, there are some extra things to consider this year so the price will be a bit more than last year.

The corn is ripening and swaying heavy with seed. It is a season of plenty. The promise of Spring is coming to fruition. The dying Sun has spent his power and burns off the last of his energy in the blazing heat of Summer. Its power has gone into the ripening fruit and grains.
Lughnasadh is the feast of the corn harvest. Like the Sun-God, the grain must die - a life-giving sacrifice that sustains us through the coming dark season. This year's seed will become next year's crop and so the cycle continues for another round.
Lughnasadh is the last of Summer's feasts; the wheel is inevitably turning towards the dark half of the year. It is a time to reflect on the creative power of manifestation and the divine spark within.
