Happy ! 📚 Did you know that 1 in 7 pupils say the first book of their own was purchased with their World Book Day token? This number goes up to 1 in 5 for children who receive free school meals, highlighting the importance of this initiative for making reading accessible and enjoyable for every child!

‼️Introductory Training‼️ We are delighted to announce our first training session of the year will be for all our new volunteers or those wanting a refresher. This training will be on Zoom and will run through the fundamentals of Make a Smile so please come along! If you have any questions please DM us!

Happy ! WBD is celebrated on the 4th January every year on the inventor Louis Braille’s birthday. We celebrate World Braille Day to bring awareness and encourage reflection on how we can support accessibility for the visually impaired members of our communities. The discovery and refinement of Braille has revolutionised communication for blind and visually impaired members of our communities and today we celebrate a discovery which brings us closer to an more inclusive environment for all!
