Louisa's Colourful Realm

My boy wanted to come down and spend some time with me as I ironed our clothes 💝 love these little moments. He sat and looked at my paintings and asked if he could draw his own. His imagination is beautiful. I was inspired to sit with him and draw something too.

I am really enjoying watching AutumnWatch this year. The bats are adorable. I couldn’t wait to draw one and the yawning fluff ball melted my heart 🦇🥹
As I have been unable to get to my studio for a while I have been drawing digitally on my tab. I love the brushes and vibrant colours.
My youngest son has requested a caterpillar next 🐛

I love the different shades of green.
I also really like wax seals and have designed my own which I can't wait to use. A beautiful old fashioned tradition.

I started creating this fern a long time ago, it's wonderful seeing it completed.

I was inspired by the bright blue sky we saw on the morning walk to school. "Vivid Sky" was created using watercolour paints and ink.

I loved the process of creating this piece and am mixed with joy and sadness that it has come to an end. It has taken me hours and I have learnt alot about the materials used. I have mixed layers with watercolour paint and pencils with ink and created a vibrant yet natural image.
I have yet to name this piece and would be intrigued to read any suggestions!
