Christmas is a-coming! Join us for festive Carols & Mince Pies at Pinhoe Library, 2pm Wed 6th December. Brought to us by the local Community Voices Choir. Coffee and mince pies to keep you warm and feel festive.

I’ll be putting some Halloween books in our library this weekend- if anyone has any going spare feel free to pop them in 🎃 📚

Time for a switch-a-Roo….

I’ve been away for a few days and come home to an absolutely incredible amount of really beautiful books that have been donated. I am utterly blown away- thank you to the lovely, generous people that have donated 💐

I’ve given it a deep clean and much needed de-cobweb today- sorry spiders! It’s also completely restocked with these beauts.

We are holding a colouring session on Friday 18th August, for the Exeter Northcott 's ticket competition! Come to Exeter Children's Library at 10am, to draw/colour your favourite 'Winnie the Pooh' characters ☺

✨⭐🌟🤩 The lucky winner will get 4 x tickets to 'Disney's Winnie the Pooh' musical on 22nd August. What a TIGGERIFIC prize!! 🤩🌟⭐✨

At 11am, we have a special Winnie the Pooh Storytime with Alison.
Come hunt for honeybees and listen to the fantastic tales and poems of Pooh! 🐰🍯🐻🐯

Pinhoe Library garden is the perfect space to spend some time enjoying a picnic, blowing some bubbles and playing garden games. All FREE at Pinhoe Library. Pop in, borrow a blanket and settle down under the tree. We look forward to seeing you 🙂

My top tip of the day- if you’re a bookaholic do not go to Dartmouth. It’s a dangerous place for someone with little self control and an empty tote bag. Also- behold! My new bookmark 😆

Now that the summer hols are amongst us the children’s books are going to fly out even quicker than usual.

If you have any children’s books going spare or having a sort please think about our fabulous library.

If there is space in the library just pop the books in otherwise they can be left on my doorstep which is the yellow house on the corner by the library- 1 Leworthy Drive

Join us for a purrfectly delightful crafting and story time session at Exeter Library! 🐱📚🎨

On Friday 2nd June at 10.00am children can unleash their creativity and make their very own Mog the cat mask using straws, felt, cotton wool and shiny paper. Once their masks are complete, they can wear them while listening to our Alison read some wonderful Mog stories by Judith Kerr. 🎭🐾

This is a free, drop in event. Donations are welcome.

We are starting to run low on children’s book- board books, picture books and chapter books.

If you are having a clear out please consider donating to our little library. If there is space just pop donations in the library or you can leave them on my doorstep- I’m in the yellow house on the corner to the right of the library.

Wow!!! Look what they have put at St David’s station!

I dropped my man at the station tonight and I had to stop to take a pic of the Penguin Books vending machine that Exeter Unesco City of Literature & GWR got installed at St David’s Station.

“Anna Cohn Orchard, Executive Director of Exeter UNESCO City of Literature, knew of Penguin’s history and approached them in 2021 with the idea for a book vending machine at the site of Penguin’s origin. Thanks to the collaboration between Penguin Books, Great Western Railway, Graddons Vending, and Bookbag, we are thrilled to have helped Sir Allen Lane’s vision to come full circle with the installation of Penguin’s first ever book vending machine at Exeter St Davids!”

I’m also proud to say that I’ve read a third of the books in it - there’s a good selection!

Pirate day is here!

Avast ye hearties! This Sunday is Pirate day at our little library!

Grab a ship mate and sail on down to our library where you will find some treasures- here are just some of the loot to discover

There are pirate tattoos and Shrink key rings for some extra crafting fun- I’ve put the instructions on here and they will also be in the library if you want to take a picture of it.
