As a twice alumni of and a resident of the city I could not be more proud of these students many of which are my dear friends and join them full heartedly in demanding the University calls for a ceasefire and divests from Israeli current regime.

Friends, we’ve tallied the earnings from our SWAP & SHOP POP-UP Shop for Palestine with and .app and I’m delighted to share that we raised £245 through ticket sales and donations to support Medical Aid Palestine!

To everyone who purchased a ticket, thank you for making this event possible. We hope you found clothes to refresh your wardrobe, and we’re thrilled to help extend the life of clothing while supporting a worthy cause.

Many have asked when our next event will be – stay tuned for updates soon!

Despite unexpected challenges (details coming to our blog on Thursday), we’re grateful for your support. Let’s continue to stand for justice, peace, and an end to Israel’s genocidal campaign in Gaza.

MP’s are voting on A Ceasefire motion this Wednesday. You can email your MP to tell them to vote in favour of a ceasefire. AND you can attend Parliament to speak with you MP Wednesday morning. If you are able to attend in person register to vote ahead of time via the link in bio.
If you’re not able to attend in person consider subsidising the travel cost of someone from your constituency that can go on your behalf. Comment below if you can travel and need subsidising. Comment below if you are willing and able to subsidise.

I had the best time speaking to arts and fashion students at today about my journey with Sancho’s and .app and why I deeply believe our generations ability to transform our economic and social systems for the better.
I’m pleased to say that our teams will be expanding soon with people enthusiastic about sustainable and circular fashion. Job opportunities will go live next week so please check back then!
Also not to overload this post but I am also hard launching my Patreon! Link in bio if you wish to sign up. It is going to be focused on business education, skills sharing and peer mentorship. Late last year I had the I had the immense please of heading on a U.K. trade mission to New York with an incredible cohort of female founded businesses. To meet with Investors, strategic partners, and other start up founders.
As you can tell by the wide grin on my face in every photo I had and absolutely amazing time thanks to the hard work of Shree, Syd and the British Embassy team. The week ended with a pitch night at the U.K. Ambassador to New York’s residence and honestly there on floor 36, opposite the UN and next to an original Andy Warhol I felt unstoppable.
I’m so excited for the relationships we’ve built and the work that will come from them.
However the thing that affected me the most and what I will never forget is the cohort of Women in this trip. I relished at the opportunity to sit and listen and observe as they navigated the growth of their companies. Inspired in every meeting. I was also so grateful to discover that one of the women on the trip was Rahel founder of a marketplace for black womens hair care. Rahel has long been a huge inspiration to me as an incredibly successful founder. And Habesha!! This was the first time in alllll of my life I was able to work side by side with another Habesha woman and I can’t tell you how affirming and peaceful that experience was. I am so grateful! The embassy carry out twice annual trips, apply and attend, it will change your life x

Here is a checklist for everything you can do
1. Do not spend your money on anything today
2. Write to your employer and inform them of the global strike
3. Write to your university and inform them of the global strike
4. Write to your MP and tell them that anything short of support for a permanent ceasefire is complicity with IDF war crimes.
5. Tell your friends/family/people in your support network that there is a strike.
6. Avoid sharing other content on social media today to enable strike content to be seen.
7. Reshare your saved posts that relate to the conflict in Gaza to further educate your network.
8. Pray for peace.
9. Donate to a Palestinian charity administrating aid.
10. Learn about statecraft, settler colonialism, Islamophobia, anti semitism and industrial warfare.
