Tomorrow is World Music Day, and we’re taking a trip down memory lane to celebrate Exeter’s resounding musical legacy. 🎶🌍
Here’s a look at some iconic moments that have shaped the city’s music scene:
▸ 13/06/1969 - Pink Floyd brought their psychedelic sounds to Exeter Great Hall Live at Exeter.
▸19/02/1993 - Radiohead rocked the Lemon Grove, leaving an unerasable mark on Exeter’s music lovers.
▸ 21/02/2001 - just before they skyrocketed to fame, Biffy Clyro unleashed their energy at an unforgettable gig at Exeter Cavern.
▸ 18/01/2017 - The dynamic duo Billy Bragg and Joe Henry shared their soulful melodies at Exeter Corn Exchange
▸ 26/03/2014 - Lee 'Scratch' Perry graced the Exeter Phoenix with his legendary reggae music.
Each of these performances has contributed to the city’s musical story.
