Happy new year!
I feel like this may be too far in to January to be saying this still but it’s been a busy start to the new year with so many exciting things ahead!
So… I’m starting the new year with one of my last weddings of last year.
The wonderful Jodie and Josh were married at Pynes and my brief… locally sourced, sustainable, reusable (to be moved around the venue throughout the day) and a mix of fresh and dried flowers from the very talented DONE!
But this bride continued the sustainable and reusable brief beyond her wedding. and her lovely bridesmaid , reused their bouquets to create their Christmas wreaths. I absolutely LOVE this idea and feel we could all take something from this. Flowers are not juts for your wedding but they can be recycled, dried, pressed and kept forever.
I feel this will be a theme for this year and more and more we are looking for ways for things to last longer, not throw away and what better way to keep your wedding bouquet than this.

Powder Blue…
The weekend was hit and miss with the weather but that didn’t stop the lovely Marissa and Tom from having a wonderful wedding day

Hi…
It’s been a while since I’ve been on to say hi and I’ve had lots of lovely new followers recently so here goes…
I’ve been a florist for nearly 20years now and after moving from shop to studio 7years ago I decided weddings were my focus.
I love my job, I love working with flowers, my clients and collaborating with fellow suppliers.
My favourite flowers are any in season during the summer, stocks, peonies, sweet peas, herbs and all things scented.
My favourite colour is green.
I am currently in the wedding planning process myself and due to get married next year. I can say, that it is very different planning you’re own! But for flowers I will going for colour, and lots of it.
Work isn’t all me though…
I am Mum to two, Hugo age 3 and Mabel 4months (both already pros at wedding setup!)
I love family life and that’s mainly why I’ve been so quiet on here recently, a newborn and a toddler running alongside weddings have kept me busy these past few months.
Still lots to come this year and I will keep you updated along the way.

Simplicity. Perfect…
Last week was to say the least a rather busy one but a wonderfully busy week with some gorgeous weddings to share.
So I’ll start with last Monday…
The gorgeous Fiona and Alex chose this beautiful selection of roses and peonies. 150 glass bud vases filled with them.
The smell was amazing.

Button nose…
I’ve been a little quiet on here recently due to welcoming this little lady over Easter!
It’s been a busy few weeks but it feels like our gorgeous Mabel has always been here and we are loving being a family of 4.
She’s already been introduced to the studio and has been busy at work learning her flowers, all ready for the start of my wedding season beginning this week!

The Tulip…

What isn’t to love about this flower. Such a variety of gorgeous colours, the frill, the French tulip, the beautiful smooth texture of its leaves and the time of year!

All flowers have their own meaning and I quite often spark up conversations with my couples about what theirs might mean or I give them a little list of their meanings on the morning of their wedding as a keepsake…
I love knowing what your flowers might mean and their reference to the day or to you.

VALENTINES…

I have alway had one rule for Valentines… NO RED ROSES!
