The sacks are manufactured buy one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of refuse sacks - RPC bpi refuse. They support the circular economy by turning plastic, otherwise destined for landfill, into second-life products. The company recycles more than 150,000 tonnes of plastic material each year, giving new life to polythene from commercial, industrial, packaging and agricultural sources.

The Green Sack™ range is 100% recycled refuse sacks, which offers the toughest, greenest UK-manufactured refuse sacks for the retail, janitorial, food service and local authority markets. We now have new Biodegradable nitrile gloves in stock that break down 10x faster than standard nitrile. These are called Bluple Nitrile Gloves and they do not take an extended period to biodegrade using BDG technology.
So what is BDG technology? BDG technology integrates the existing manufacturing process with compromising product quality. It comprises of an organic addictive to accelerate the biodegradation rate of gloves in biologically active landfills.

How does it work? BDG is a 'food source' specially formulated to attract microbes found in landfills. When bacteria consume the BDG they excrete and enzyme that dissolves and de-polymerises the polymer chain. The process called mineralisation allowing the microbes to break down the remaining polymer naturally, leaving behind only biogas, eater and inert soil.

So why choose the Bluple Nitrile Gloves? Firstly to contribute to the sustainable development goals of making a sustainable and brighter future. Global waste grows every year and is expected to grow to 34o billion tonnes by 2050, we are running out of space. Globally about 37 percent of waste is dumped of or disposes of in landfill. If this continues we will have no space left for living. Using Bluple Nitrile Gloves also lessens the amount of greenhouse gas emissions and just overall minimises waste. As BDG contains and organic additive it is also an eco friendly option in the medical industry to reduce the risk of cross contamination, along with use in the food industry as they are made in compliance with regulatory bodies.

Exciting news .. as part of the process of adding more environmentally friendly products to our range, we are teaming up with Delphis eco professional cleaning. They specialise in biodegradable, plant-based products that are environmentally friendly and effective without the use of harmful chemicals.

We have not previously stocked an eco friendly oven cleaner but we now are able to offer this. We have in stock the Delphis foaming oven cleaner, and can offer this in a 2000ml or a 700ml trigger. It is a colourless liquid (no dyes used in the product) and It is safe to use on all surfaces including stainless steel. Its high foaming, rapid action removes burnt on food, fat and grease from ovens, grills and griddles.

The benefits of using the foaming oven cleaner aside to a standard oven cleaner is of course its eco friendly credentials with it being caustic free, fume free, Phosphate and phosphonate free and safe in septic tanks if used as directed. It is also readily biodegradable and not tested on animals. It is great for both domestic and commercial use.

We’re all looking for ways to reduce our environmental footprint therefore we have swapped our mini jumbo, micro rolls and standard jumbo to a sugar cane product as this is more sustainable.

Sugarcane toilet rolls are made from sugar cane fibre. They are a much more environmentally-friendly alternative to conventional virgin wood fibre and even recycled paper-based products.
