We might not have won any of our games today but we stuck to our motto "playing fun, competitively." Morale was kept high, we had plenty of smiles on court and we all had alot of fun. Energy never died, even with only 6 players today.

Well done team and can't wait for the next round of the tournaments in October!

Thanks everyone who came to see us today and gave us a try! I expect lots of “Dan”’s to come forward now and claim todays top score 😜

⚠️📜 CLUB STATEMENT 📜⚠️

tldr: Our women’s sessions could be ending soon, if you want to try it, act now!

We are very proud of our club at the Dartmoor Beasts, and it has gone from strength to strength over the last five years. It is a not-for-profit community club, that reinvests any money back into itself. We have recently been recognised as an established club by the sport’s National governing body, something only 23% of clubs in the uk have achieved.

We hope to continue supporting grassroots dodgeball in the south west for as long as it is sustainable. Part of this has been an attempt at providing the opportunity for women to play in a safe and fun space; growing a vital side of the sport as women’s dodgeball provides deeper tactical application than the men’s current thinking, especially if combined with mixed dodgeball.

However, we can’t fund this forever and will be reassessing its viability at the end of April. If you have thought you’d like to give this a go, it’s important to show your support now.

Womens Only Dodgeball!!

What a great way for some Mother/Daughter bonding. Whether you're a daughter wanting to bring your mum along because of the nerves or a mother wanting to get your daughter out of the house for a bit, then why not come and give dodgeball a try with us??

We are very friendly and welcoming and would love to have you. Also, dodgeball is such great fun. Where else can you throw stuff at each other, and not get in trouble? 😜😜

This week we're introducing Chris. A player to always keep an eye on, as you’ll never know when he’s going to get you out. He has accuracy, power and awareness on court.

A thinking player, Chris sets himself targets and aims to develop his game each session. He does all this for fun, and the smile on his face shows its working 🦾

Great second session for our women's session last week! Already some great dodgeball happening. If you are interested in giving dodgeball a try, then please come along to either our women's session berween 7.30-8.15 or our mixed session between 8.15-9.15.

This week we're introducing Simon. Mr Consistent, he always provides great support to all our members both on and off court as a coach and Captain.

Simon has come a long way, transferring his skill from Badminton to Dodgeball within his first months at the club. A safe bet on last player in, and we sure wouldn’t want to try and get him out after that either. A great catch and speedy counterattack often catches whole teams off guard.

😻😻 MEET THE BEAST MONDAY 😻😻

This week we’re introducing Lauren. She’s incredibly important to the club as the vice chair, level 2 coach, treasurer and all round lovely person.

Probably one of our most determined players, turning up every week, even if it’s to coach without playing. She has gone from strength to strength, developing her own catching techniques and often tricking people with her clever throws.

All of this is about to be overshadowed by the exciting debut of our women’s session this Thursday that Lauren will be taking the lead on. Exciting times ahead 🦾
